Carlos Alcaraz is better than him by a country mile.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
no way .... are you a Zealand viewer Stringer?!?!?!?!

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Carlos is gonna be way better than Nick will ever be
----------------------------------------------------------------------
100%

that game looked pretty rotten !
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Might’ve jumped the gun a bit early there, but his potential is greater.
I give Nick 2 more years, before he slides out the top 50. And into Tennis purgatory.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Zealand will not tolerate his behaviours, we all know how he deals with players that like to hit the clubs

The world of tennis is the preserve of stuffy upper-middle class types. E.g. the Wimbledon crowd was lukewarm toward Andy Murray for a few years because his surliness and blunt interview answers. They love Federer not just for his graceful tennis, but his preppy mannerisms and clothing (which is why I always instinctively hated him). So I really wanted to like Kyrgios, as someone who would happily wipe himself using pages torn from the tennis code of etiquette. But he isn't disrespectful just to his 'betters' running the sport. I always think the mark of a man is how he treats the people who 'don't matter'. And Kyrgios is a brat toward the people around court who are well below him in terms of status and voice.

He’s great. People just seem to hate personalities these days.

of course he didnt.... does he have to spit on me specifically in order to think any less of him. does someone need to stab me and not someone i dont know in order for me to form an opinion on him?

do you excuse him spitting at fans?

Yes, this is what I like least. As I said above, tennis kind of needs a villain but I'll find it hard to support him in matches while he's saying things like "they came to watch me, not you" to umpires.

Aye, since when did being a grade A pwick = personality.

The guy can be a very good tennis player … on grass anyway … and when he can be ersed, which ain’t very often. He’s not “outspoken”, he never shuts up ranting about something or other. Yesterday he actively tried to get his opponent disqualified, claiming over and over that Tsitsipas had hit a spectator … he clearly hadn’t. Just one example, but it’s relentless. Utter b3llend who needs to grow the feck up.

Tsitsipas was/is a bit of a bell as well, to be fair.

I can see why people like him but I don't. Mind you I'm a Nadal fan so I'm biased

I can't see anyone beating Djoko tbh.

With no Russians or ranking points Wimbledon desperately needed a shot in the arm this year and he's provided it.

Aslo he's a Spurs boy so he's alright by me.

devalued event this year imo

The tory wimbledon crowd hate him because he is different and doesn't behave in the traditional boring way. Federer is the tory dream and his whole career is now getting overshadowed by someone else they hate, Djokovic, so their tory lives are being ruined.

not a lot beats a big match that is close. some of the marathon matches can be some of the most tense in sport.

Not trying. Just ranting about tories. Was down at Wimbledon for the semis last year and they were actually very nice. But that doesn't fit the fictional image of the tory crowd that I have created in my head, and a year has past so they are back to being the tory priicks in my head again.

Personally it's his habitual unsportsmanlike conduct, disrespect, and continually bringing the sport into disrepute that grates.

Di Minaur is another Aussie doing well. Easier to like too

The people who hate Kyrgios are probably the same people who still prefer Prince Andrew to Prince Harry because he still wants to undertake his royal duties.
