I don't know how hot it was in Wolverhampton today, but it was ridiculous playing cricket in this heat today in Somerset.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Did you win? Where are you in the batting order? Are you a silly mid off or a fine leg?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah we won. Top of the league at the moment. I batted at number 5. Was out there for about an hour and a half in pads and helmet batting in that heat. It was pretty exhausting. I had to leave all my kit out in the sun to dry from the sweat when I came off and go for a cold shower before going out to field.
Luckily, the club gave us extra sets of kit when the sponsor paid for them at start of the season, so I could get changed, but I then bowled 9 overs as well. I bowl pace so of a run up with a lot of effort. I think today was the most I've ever sweated playing any sport and it took me a good hour to cool down each time.
Wolves play their second PL2 game of the season today when the U21s travel to Leyland to play Blackburn. 14:00 kick off live on Wolves TV for anyone that wants to shelter from the heat
With Man Utd still falling apart there remains the concern that they will throw money at the transfer window in the next few weeks and Neves could still be a target. Whether he would want to go there with the club is in such turmoil may be doubtful though.
Best aspects of our first two games have been the quality shown by Neves and Kilman who look good enough to get into any team. We couldn't afford to lose either, wish we could find a striker of similar quality
I’ve heard that CR7 has specifically told Neves to steer clear of Old Trafford. He takes the Portuguese youngsters under his wing and tries to give them some guidance.

Oh the memories.
I love cricket, best in its purest form.
Pundits made Collins best player.
And Sa best keeper on the day.

I thought Kilman had a better game to be honest. But promising home debut for Collins.
Have some pretty grim memories of having to share sweaty cricket kit at school.
If Kilman continues with his current form, I can see him getting into the WC squad, maybe at the expense of Coady.
For the second week in a row, both Jonny and Ait-Nouri have been given the lowest scores on Liam Keen's player ratings from the E&S.
That is an area Bruno has to sort out and quick. For me, I'd switch Jonny over to the left and play Semedo on the right.
Semedo looked really lively in his short cameo yesterday so he certainly looked fit enough to return for the next game. Him on the right and Jonny on the left surely our best set of full backs. Ait Nouri the alternative but at the moment he looks more suited to being an option from the bench if we are chasing a game and need a wing back to support the attack
Completely forgot about Ivan Cavaleiro when thinking of our opponents yesterday. Didn’t even make the 20 man squad and evidently they are hoping to offload him this summer
Fabio in the starting line up for anderlecht today in an away league game, and he’s put them two ahead just before the interval
Fabio has scored again, lost count now how many, he's clearly on a mission to hit Cinci's target by the end of September.
"For me, I'd switch Jonny over to the left and play Semedo on the right."
Me too.
Fabio given an assist for their 3rd goal.
Did hospitality and bumped into Mendes in the gents (oh the glamour). Couldn't help myself it being halftime and a certain amount of alcohol having been consumed so i slurred something of the effect of 'we need some signings Jorge, get us a number 9 '. The enigmatic response was 'you have Guedes, it's difficult'. So read what you want into that. All the stakeholders were there so hopefully they saw what we saw - we ain't going to score may goals with what we have. Other takeways from yesterday - Guedes looks a very similar player to what we already have in Neto and Podence, not the answer as a Raul alternative. Ait Nouri is a liability in our box but good going forward. Didn't see what Collins has that Toti and Sanderson apparently don't and all three Fulham corners caused chaos in our box.
Kind of agree about Guedes in that I’d see him in the three behind a centre forward in a 4231, competing with Neto, Podence and MGW. But I don’t see any of them, or Hwang as a centre forward. Guedes was the star man for Valencia so he can clearly offer more than he showed yesterday.
I think Collins has done well so far. Looks comfortable on the ball and has some pace. Do think Toti offers decent cover for him and Kilman.

He spent most of last season injured and never really got back together. Career going the same way as Costas over here sadly.
Full backs certainly our poorest area so far this season, neither hitting their expected heights. Would stick with Ait-Nouri personally, his ceiling is much higher than Semedo or Jonny and we are supposed to be building something for years to come. Yet to be seen if Semedo is good enough as a full back either of course, lets hope so as it wouldn't be good to have all three highlighting they are better wing backs now that isn't an option.

Couldn't have had a better start that is for sure.
One of our so called 'rivals' are West Ham, who only had 8 subs today, two of which were 'keepers. Just thought I'd put that up for those who whinge at our bench.
For the Spurs game, I'd have Jonny and Semedo as our full backs. If Semedo is good enough to be RB for Barcelona, then I think he'll be ok for us. Ait-Nouri, I'm afraid, is a liability at the moment.
