Yeah West Ham are only a so called rival. They are going for top six again.
U21s beat Blackburn 1-0 with Lembikisa scoring the winner
Start of the season has highlighted how little can be taken from pre season friendlies as well, everybody was elated with Ait-Nouri two weeks ago, now he is being castigated. Only turned 21 in June, still has a lot of growth to come.
No one is castigating him. There's a huge difference between pre season friendlies and the quality needed for the Premier League. He's been terrible as a LB, was the cause of the two goals against Leeds and but for Sa, would have cost us yesterday.
You keep reminding us that you are a realist. Well, get real about your hero. Give me Jonny and Semedo any time.
Good to see Lembikisa doing well. Now there's my player who I believe will do well this season and would like to see given some cup game time.
At last. Finally, we are playing some of the fringe players in the U21's to give them match practice, rather than just having them warm the first team bench.
Also going with a back four now.
Wolves:- Sondergaard, Birtwistle (Lembikisa 66), Mosquera, Marques (Hubner 66), Bueno, Griffiths, Ronan, Hodge, Cundle (Scicluna 88), Campbell, Fraser (Harkin 77).
I think the doom and gloom about yesterday is over the top. I can barely remember Fulham threatening our goal so defensively we couldn't have been that bad.
Also people seem to forget the brilliant cross where MGW missed the open goal. We would have won the game there and then.
A joint team high total tackles yesterday also with 4
I don't think there has been any doom and gloom. I thought we played well, as we did against Leeds and it was defensive errors in both games that have been highlighted. Our lack of a goal threat needs to be addressed asap and we all agree on that. I think you're not grasping the fact that Ait-Nouri is not suited in the position Bruno is playing him. Apart from that, I'm not concerned right now, as this is not a sprint.
Wolfie castigated one of our most promising young players, then bigs up one that starts on the bench for the U21s.
Obviously still suffering from too much sun yesterday Tammy. Merely pointing out something that others have stated regarding Air-Nouri. As for Lembikisa, he is a very promising player, who at least can find the net, even as a sub.

I am grasping that a 21 year old with like 50 odd professional games still needs to develop in a position he hasn't really played.
Unfortunately i think many just see the key moments and draw a conclusion rather than the entire game. No doubt his challenge was a sloppy one, other than that was he got at really? Any more than Jonny? I see Fulham attacked the left more than the right so they didn't see him as a weak link to exploit.
Bruno may drop him, we shall see, but i think that would be a mistake if we are supposedly trying to build something here for the long term.
Been a strange start to the season really. Don't really think we have been second best in either game overall but the issue has been fairly obvious up front. No focal point whatsoever. Hopefully that changes this week.
Also think i would like to see MGW in the middle of the three, i quite like what i am seeing from him and he busts a bollok as well. Podence was poor yesterday but managed to play the 90 which was a surprise.
Cinci, our full backs have been poor in both games. They aren't playing as wings backs anymore and Jonny is far better on the left. Ait-Nouri is better suited in a more attacking role. Granted he put in a good cross that MGW missed, but his overall game is poor at the moment. Not his fault Bruno has changed the system.
In general, we are far too impatient with young players. As soon as they make an error or two, our fans tend to be hard on them online.
While at the same time trying to big up any youngster that looks good for the u21s as the answer.
Instead of your usual sarcastic comments on the ones I put up Tammy boy, try posting constructive remarks.
We all know how you've raved about Ait-Nouri cinci, but he is not a full back, period. He was poor defensively as a wing back and this position has only highlighted even more.
Nothing wrong in commenting about a very good prospect in Lembikisa and it doesn't matter at what level he plays in.
You are aware that Ait-Nouri ranked very high defensively last season right?

Nothing sarcastic about my post. It started off with 'in general' and referenced the fans as a group by using g the term 'we'. Why you think it was about you I don't know. Maybe you need to grow up a bit.

Problem is he won’t sign a new contract which means he can walk away for nothing next year.
Surely we have to take the money and buy a real striker.

Hopefully this link works. Comparing Ait-Nouri to what i think most would consider our best WB/FB last season. Keeping in mind one is 27 and played at Barcelona and one is a raw 20 year old at the time. Not kuch in it and Ait-Nouri edges Semedo in some categories defensively. I don't know why there is this myth Ait-Nouri is a poor defender.
Wolfie Ait is not a terrible left back, young and inexperienced yes, but certainly not terrible. The guy to me shows huge potential, and I rate him as one of the best prospects we have. I have no issues with him starting. I would have more than a few issues starting Lembikisi.
It is all about opinions, and you can take your pick of the three, for me my pick would be ait and Johnny, if Semedo plays, it is for Johnny.

Cinci and Amiga in agreement
I am disappointed with Jonny, he looked sharp when he returned last season but went off the boil pretty quickly and looks a bit sluggish at times this season so far. Not terrible, just not the Jonny of old. Maybe the injuries are taking a toll.
As for Lembikisa, no surprise he is a hot prospect and being talked up the last year or more but no doubt he is behind Bueno right now either. Unless a loan happens for Bueno i don't see Lembikisa getting anymore than a cup cameo.
I must say I think Bueno has far more potential than Lembikisa. I'm not sure why Wolfie is getting so excited by him?
Lembikisa looks an excellent prospect but is a year behind Bueno in development. He was quickly identified as too good for the U18s and put straight into the U21s. But Bueno has a full year of U23 football behind him. I would say both are good prospects
