I'd play

McLaughlin > De Gea
Barasic > Firpo
Davies > Worrall / McKenna
Goldson > Maguire
Tavernier > Emerson / Tomiyasu
Lundstram > McTominay
Davis > Fred
Kent > Rashturd
Tillman > Alli / Christie
Lawrence > Kabano / Elyounoussi
Colak > Adams / PL Edouard

Plus

Morelos, Kamara, Jack, Hagi, Matondo, Roofe (if he could stay fit)

Yilmaz (we spent loads for us on him so i suspect he will be a talent)

I reckon all of those could in the right team under the right conditions play PL week in week out.

We sold Aribo who will be Southampton best player as was Van Dijk when Celtic sold him to them. In conclusion our league is better than it gets credit for and the PL not as good as it gets credit for.

there is a debate to be had with most of your choices tbh, but the colak one?? he wouldnt do well in EPL.

He would score a lot of goals for a top EPL team ... loads IMO but they can find better players, and he wouldnt score goals for teams that dont create chances.

The Kris Boyd effect , he is only as effective as the team you put around him. If your teams creates loads of chances and dominates the ball Colak is very handy, if your asking that forward to be the link man or stretch defences he isnt the answer

I switched on Clyde SSB last week and within 30 seconds a Rangers fan had phoned in and said Tavernier was the best right back in Europe

I'm no sure who laughed more me or Marvin Bartley

I'd like to refer the gentleman to the Chelsea game at the weekend, if you think Tav is even in the same league as Reece James then you need locked up

on his worst day de gea is better than mclaughing behave you

do you think if rangers signed him he would have a fight to get the jersey?

If we wanted to sign him we're in trouble, they guy has been consistently dropping clangers for years now. Lives off a reputation that should be long gone.

=======

tavernier getting in the england team is about as likely as thompson was.

you can be as good as you want, you play in scotland so they will scoff at it.

walker, arnold, james.

he's no chance because of the calibre ahead of him.

Colak would do better than Benteke at Palace for instance. Couldn't finish a whank.

This is what i'm saying it's really not difficult to be better than some of the guys down there have done. Of course you can debate them but it's nonsense to say only 3 guys from Rangers could play regularly down there.

In the right circumstances i stand by 75% of our squad could.

As for Tav - 4th best in England if he went down there and we considered Cancelo as a LB

Trent is basically Tav but with +2 on every stat. Thats no slight on Tav cos Trent on his day is an outstanding RB. If Trent can keep the heid focused and continue working on his game he can be the best RB in the world IMO.

Try the opposite name some of the worst players for a position, that starts regularly in the PL that would get in the Celtic team.

How many of these get in the Celtic side.

GK Ward
LB Firpo
CB Worrall
CB McKenna
RB Dalot
CM Fred
CM McTominay
CM Colback
LW Kabano
RW Fraser
FW Edouard

mctominay is a better player than we are seeing right now, not top tier man utd level imo but teams in 6-10 he's a good player i think.

lets not beat about the bush the whole man utd squad if you looking at individual ability would take the spots of any of either our teams.

that club is in a toxic position just now. And if your seriously thinking that Sancho isnt better than Jota and Kent then your mad , regardless of his form at another club.

If these players were deemed good enough, there’s no shortage of money in the EPL that any Scottish club would turn their nose up at. They’d be bid for, bargained with and then sold. If not, they’d be deemed not good enough for not that much money for an EPL side.

Now who is being bid for again? And that includes those clubs who supposedly have “rubbish” players.

TAA, Walker, James, Trippier are all better

I'd say he's maybe in the same bracket as Ayling/Cash

posted on 17/8/22

as long as united have that dumping at CB and as captain they will struggle.

he's not a leader, he's not a quality player, he's the english scott mckenna

posted on 17/8/22

Who is good enough to play down there and who will go on to play down there are very different questions.

A lot more variables on the second one but on a strictly quality basis we have lots of players up here good enough to play down there but you will be here to big up England and tell Scotland how schitey it is. A theme.

Cos its not as black and white as that.

You could argue many players are a slight improvement or equal to what some EPL teams have.

Why would a team go out and spend money on a slight or equal improvement.

Your tilting your argument towards certain rangers/celtic players being better than other EPL players.

Id say there are plenty at a similar level. Shane Duffy for eg I wouldnt say many would argue that he isnt at least the same level of Goldson & CCV ? same can be said about Worral.

Plenty of our players can cut it at EPL level at some level even if that is the bottom level teams

Dalot would run riot in scotland his game would be perfect for an OF in scotland ..... if someone offered me Mctominay or Fred for free and 15k-20k a week then Jack/Kamara dont get a game

No straight swaps only.

Who you taking

Dalot or Tavernier
Jack or McTominay
Fred or Lundstram

Dalot, Fred and Mctominay

posted on 17/8/22

well I would actually reject them all if we had to pay the wages they were on cos regardless of how good they are it would mess up our finances, hence why i said if they were on similar wages then thats who I would take

posted on 17/8/22

for eg Fred is on 120k a week doesnt matter if he is xavi .. we can afford that.

Sancho would be the best player in our squad, would tear it up, smash teams week in week out, but if he had to be paid 350k a week I would reject him

posted on 17/8/22

*we cant afford that
