I'm looking forward to it and I have no qualms with series 8, it was what it was.

I enjoyed all the series.

Once I watched it all back as one binge, knowing the ending, it made more sense.

I just hope they don’t wreck this.

For you maybe, I had no issues with it. I had no pee conceived ideas how it would pan out when I watched the first one nor did I read the books. I was aware of concerns from some who had been reading them and the fact they had strayed but for me, being blissfully unaware of what the author might of had planned I was happy to accept what we got.

Have never seen a throne game and will not until the general public aren't watching it so I can watch as a normal human being. It will probably be crap. The general public are just the worst.

Still waiting hopelessly for Winds of Winter 😭

Has George already written an ending for this one or are they going to have to make up their own again?

How long that take you shin?

Enjoyed it, great tv, even the rushed ending I didn’t find too bad. Can see where people that hated it came from though.

Also, how does everyone have time for such things? Like when do you sit on your arrse watching tv for several hours? And why? Outside is better than any TV show.

Season 8 was a massive disappointment, underwhelming conclusions for nearly every single character and story arc.
Rightly panned by audience and critics.

I'm in no rush to watch the prequel, although I probably will at some point.

After the ending of GoT which was just terrible, lost all interest in watching this prequel.

Season 8 of GOT was disappointing to say the least.
I will say though that the Battle of the Barstsards (Season 6, Episode 9) was absolutely brilliant, and one of the best things I’ve seen on TV.

Not heard much about the prequel, but hasn’t it been attacked as being woke? Or is that the new LOTR thing on Amazon Prime?

Never watched a minute of GoT. Judging by the comments here, if I ever do find the urge to, then maybe I’ll start with s8 and work my way back.

Every season gets a prequel, and every prequel better than the previous one...

First four seasons of GoT were brilliant; latterly four were awful. The commonality? Lack of source material (12 years coming up, George&hellip.

Does HotD have source material? Well, kinda. It doesn’t have to novel style fiction behind it, a la the first four, but it doesn’t have nothing, a la the final four. It has an anthology chronicling the Targaryen dynasty that is written from the perspective of (fictional) contemporary historians who intentionally (from the perspective of the real life authors) make mistakes.

This leaves far too much creative liberty for the show runners to proceed with, for my liking, given what they’ve demonstrated they can do when provided with such. It’s not Dan and Dave anymore (thank the good lord), but I’m very pessimistic.

There was another GoT spin-off, the pilot of which cost £20m, and it was that bad that they flat out refuse to show it to anyone, including GRRM. How bad can something be? Makes me actually want to watch it.

They’ve also approved another spin-off called “Snow” which is a sequel series involving Jon Snow and the north side of the wall. If you’ve read the books or paid any attention to the series at all, you will understand why that is the worst effing idea ever.

So, yeah, not at all optimistic, but will probably give the first few episodes a try.

Why oh why people actually get the hype with this crap and invest so much of their time only for the climax it appears to be an anti one is beyond me.

Lost and so many more, you reap what you sow.

Deal with it.

You might be thinking of the wheel of time on prime. As big fan of the books, I can tell you that there are quite a few deviations from the source material with a view of ticking the woke boxes.

Yeh I was really disappointed. I think that the casting is awful. Only one they really got right of the main characters was Moraine. Maybe Egwene.
