It doesn't actually say the fee has been agreed, though does give numbers for estimated fee! You should write headlines for Joe.co.uk!
Casemiro would become one of the United's top earners if he completes the move and would sign a four-year contract with the option of an additional year.

4 years? Jesus wept.
What's wrong with this club.
Seems very likely to happen today. Very fast deal, which is beyond comprehension!
I do think he will be a good signing, though feels a bit Matic like... We get him for the slow, legs going part of his career. For the next couple or three years though, he could be just what we need.
Funny how the money is suddenly there for signings after the glazers have been dragging their heels for most of the summer…

Gives more incentive for these protests on Monday now, the minute they feel the heat they’re happy to splash the cash.
Or it could just be we are spending the FDJ money put aside for him now
For me it would seem Real want him to hang around to be phased out while the likes of Tchmoueni and Camavinga etc break through and want him to accept being a squad player.
He sees the writing on the wall and we have too and made an attempt to get a guy we probably wouldn’t buy at ‘Peak United’ but now we literally have McTominay 😒 in midfield we are taking a risk on a guy who could crash and burn but who is surely a better option than Rabiot or some of the other duds we’ve been linked with.
Will the physicality of the PL be too much for him? Possibly. Would I prefer Rice? Hell yes. But life’s too short to look at things through the Nohlman prism.
This will be a mistake. He won’t be the player we hoped. He’ll look decent initially and then fade. Next season we’ll still be hoping we sign a DM. I hope I’m wrong.
Any midfielder we sign will be an upgrade to McShadow. But I bet he'll find his way back to the first 11 somehow.
Good short term signing for United. Although does carry the risk of you don’t know how long he’s got left at the top, particularly in a very physical league.
We know he's coming for the money. Just got to hope he still brings his A game too. Huge risk though.
Di Maria and Sanchez came for the cash and were total disasters.

He coped well against City and Pool in the CL, iirc. He's a bit of a shiitehouse, so should be ok.
Fingers crossed it all works out, he really is a great DM.
Anyone who watches La Liga often knows Casemiro is levels above FDJ for what United need. So with that in mind he's the much smarter buy BUT as we've seen for the last 10 or so years what a player did prior to coming to United means ZERO once they get into this mess of a club.
We've had
Pogba
ADM
Depay
etc
Fail at the club who were the very best in the world in their positions when United signed them.
Fingers crossed this is one that works out and quickly if he is actually signed!

Klopp says he heard Gabby Agbonlahor slaughtering United at Brentford on Talksport while driving home from training. "He lost 6-0 here with Villa in my first season. He wasn't a mentality monster in that game. I was close to calling in."
