A curate's egg of a performance this. Some sublime, but also quite a lot of sloppy moments with not enough care of the ball.
Only Knight performed for the full 95 minutes and deservedly won MOM. He did not put a foot wrong. I'm not knocking Dobbin who was great at times and made the second goal but I think we missed M-L. Barkhuisen was classy at times and Cashin and Stears settled well after a shaky start against fluid attackers. Bird great in the first half as was Sibley but both had less of an impact second half. Collins had his poorest game so far - just did not seem able to get in the game. Fozzie and Smith made big differences when they came on but Hourihane, while influential at times, was guilty of dome sloppy passes. I thought Roberts had done well so he was either injured or his subbing was tactical. Wildsmith nearly gave a goal away early on but thereafter did nothing wrong.
I thing PB were the best we've faced so far and they may feel unlucky. I did think the guy's second yellow was justified however and in the end they were undone by some relentless pressure and two fine goals. This was a good test and a reminder that we will not always dominate games.
Just back and relieved with the result. I'm not sure why they had a player sent off, there was an obvious offside, easy 2 yards right in front of where I sit. I felt sorry for him.
I also did not like some supporters booing Marriott, he did stuff Leeds and of course should have started at Wembley.
Did not know Marriott got booed VC. I agree that should not have happened. He had lousy luck with injuries and when fit and playing always looked good for a goal. I thought he did well today.
Marriott got two for Posh last game
I rated Marriott, sorry to see him go.
Should not be booing him.
