Yes, your 38 games are harder than ours.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This kind of statement does my head in, it allows for no context and life is not black and white.
Some context for you;
1. A kind fixture list allows to build confidence which is key in football.
2. Momentum is also huge, going on a winning run right before playing a top team is vital.
3. Playing teams at the right time when they are in dissaray (i.e. Bournemouth who have just sacked their manager) vs playing them when they hit some form
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, you got Chelsea at a good time and after a gimmie start 👍
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So you agree then, it's not just a case of 'we play each other twice'.

Yeah I’d be inclined to agree with that. You said there are no gimmes but I’d say a home game vs Southampton is as a gimme for a top 6 team.
Bournemouth home or away is also a gimme right now, they are woeful, halve shipped nigh on 20 goals in their opening 4 fixtures and sacked their coach. Likewise, with the way things are at Leicester and Villa right now home games vs either are also gimmes - Leicester lost at home to Saints ffs and are an utter mess, Rodgers soon to be sacked and Gerrard isn’t far behind. Playing them both now, at home, is a right touch, would much rather have had those two games in the opening 5 than away trips to Chelsea and West Ham so I don’t see how any gooner can claim their opening fixtures have been anything other than a bit of a doddle.

Spot on Ace
this article just screams of bitterness...no one thinks we're winning the league, but we are playing well right now, and are currently top of the league.
You lot should just keep focusing on Spur's dire brand of football and the fact you lot are scraping results every week against the so called 'easy' teams.

Does creating these false scenarios make you feel better about your own clubs' lack of success?
This article optimises the world of football these days.
Every aspect of the game at the top end is riddled with journalistic bais, and pundits allowed to influence everybody by being allowed national air time on a regular basis to pump their one sided opinions.
And, as this article shows, even at major daily news publishers, being able to peddle their allegiances or hatred, for what ever clubs they have a ha*d on for.
I don't know, maybe the son of the Guardians' Editor in Chief is an Arsenal supporter. Who knows. Other than there must be a reason why they went to press with a pro Arsenal story that anyone with half a brain cell, knows has no basis of fact as to how Arsenal's season will pan out, and nobody will take remotely seriously ( in August, 4 games in )
Does The Guardian seriously think by writing a twee little article on Arsenal being top after just 4 games, and asking three separate Arsenal based fan outlets to comment on it, will convince anyone that this holds water ?
This happens every time with Arsenal. They win a couple and the "look at us, we have turned a corner" or "the project is working" or "we have that so important momentum"
Then there is the "world class" or "has changed the total outlook of the club" constant comments around Arteta, Jesus (who is now the best striker in the world ) or Zinchenko ( apparently he has that all important "character" because he celebrated on the touchline when they scored against Fulham. The fact he is already injured 3 games in, hence on the touchline, won't be mentioned) And last, Sliba who has literally played 4 games on any note, has already put one in his own net, but of course is now "world Class" and will hold Arsenal's defence together for the next decade.
Fact is Arsenal is, and always has been a hyped club. I personally don't know how you become a hyped club, but I do know it involves constant knee jerk reactions by all and sundry, every time something is going well, even for just a short period.
And as with all good hypes, stating the obvious is rarely mentioned, and if it is, always as a minor side note, The obvious "Elephant in the room" is just who have they played, and the timing of when they played them. Hands up who would like to play A.Villa at home next, or maybe Bournemouth at home next ? yeah thought there would be a lot of hands up.
It's a bit like that popular kid at school, that everyone from teachers to your class mates all seem to just love, but for the life of it, you spend you school days wondering why, and constantly saying to yourself, I just don't get it.
As sure as eggs are eggs, they will eventually have to play some decent teams, will get turned over, and the likes of AFTV will, one again, turn on them.
I personally don't know how you become a hyped club,

Says a Gooner, which ain't surprising.
Being hyped is not about winning cups ( conveniently the only thing you have left in your locker, apart from calling us terrible names like, what was it, oh yeah, Spurts ) it's about being a club that, in the eyes of the people with public voices, cannot do any wrong. And when they do, it is quickly ignored.
For example. Arteta. What has he achieved to be entitled to the level of gushing he gets ? yeah he fluked an FA Cup, which bought him a few years. But in terms of what actually matters, he has spent more than anyone else over the last three years, and achieved an Eighth, another eighth ( in case you don't know, that is zero progress ) and a fifth. He also oversaw one of the biggest bottle jobs by throwing away CL to, of all clubs, Spurs. As a "hyped" club, neither of these under achievements ever get mentioned, like they never happened. Was either of these obvious failures mentioned in the Guardian article ? We both know, if it was Spurs and Conte achieving that, we would still be reminded of it on a daily basis. Christ, your lot STILL think it still relevant to do the "3rd in a two horse race" bit, even though it made no real difference as we qualified for the CL anyway, and were not getting first anyway.
Yet here we are still seeing it 6 six years on.
As for media darlings, utter rubbish. There is virtually no pundit that has anything other than negative remarks about Spurs. Sky, who still think the old Sky 4 still exists, regularly remind us all that Spurs are the only top flight club that has apparently not won a trophy, whilst never reminding any of us of when the likes of West Ham, Newcastle, Leeds or Wolves actually won something. It appears this is just a Spurs issue.
Then there is the constant selling off of our players. Kane in particular. When do we here stuff like that about any of the other pl clubs. When did Sky last try to sell off one of your start players ?
Even you must feel the current hype around Jesus, Zinchenko, Saliba and, of course Arteta, is just a bit over the top, even bordering on obsession ?
Personally, I have no problem what so ever that you are currently top. After 4 games, it means nothing, but I do object to being told on a daily basis that Jesus is the second coming and that Arteta is some sort of genius. Both are neither.

That entire last paragraph is only true in your head. We get bigged up to the level we deserve all the time. And we haven’t won anything in ages, it’s not exactly a lie is it! We’re under achievers in that regard and it’s mentioned because we are good and should be winning things. I don’t understand how you see things completely opposite to everyone else.

As sure as eggs are eggs, they will eventually have to play some decent teams, will get turned over, and the likes of AFTV will, one again, turn on them.

I personally don't know how you become a hyped club,
----------
Win things and be among the top 3 most successful clubs in the country?
What a lot of paranoid crap, though, and from a fan of the media darlings Tottenham Hotspur.

Fact is Arsenal is, and always has been a hyped club. I personally don't know how you become a hyped club,

Probably by winning things and playing attractive football at the same time in the past.
You should try it sometime

Yeah so bitter about Woolwich winning the league in August 👏👏👏🏆

who said such stupid statements about winning the league though....Spurs fans

You want to say it. It's in your DNA. I'll say it for you. Congratulations again 🤣

Does creating these false scenarios make you feel better about your own clubs' lack of success?
