Leaking 5 plus goals to the Man Citys of this world is one thing, letting in 5 to a bottom half team is quite another, blame the ref , luck , day of the week, phase of the moon or whatever - no dressing it up it's rubbish and worrying.
We won 2-1 at Brentford in May, not 3-1.
....oh and by the way your personal troll's attitude is becoming very worrying - think he needs help.
Referee shocking
Var shocking
Llorente & Koch shocking
So frustrated. I think if we had their centre backs and a change in referee we win that game.
Time and time again we fail to win central first balls because our centre backs are not strong enough.
Llorente for the 3rd and 5th is a complete joke.
Kock for the 4th just killed us
Its not just today though. We keep conceding goals from long balls that we cant win and the weakness is getting exposed over and over.
Koch has been decent this season to be fair.
Llorente needs a spell out of the team.
Time for
Ayling - Kock - Cooper - Struijk

why do I keep thinking it was 3-1!!!!!
I’ve said very honestly since the very beginning, that once teams figure how to play against Marsch’s system and style of play, that is when the real acid test will come.
Now we will see whether Marsch takes a different approach to Bielsa, should the poor results continue.

I thought last few games Koch was getting better, but very poor today, Llorente though has been poor since day 1, makes things complicated, silly stopovers, just an expensive liability for us, we seem to be seduced by being able to say we've signed internationals.
Each week Marsch tells us the team is getting better and better.
It's not.
Im in rage mode.
How can that be seen as a penalty by VAR is beyond me.
The directive is only get involved if it is clear and obvious.
How can it be clear and obvious if it took over 2 minutes to ask the referee to look at it and then the referee took another 4-5 looks at it.
They have clearly not followed the directive.
2 key decisions today with the Summerville one at the other end and and both went Brentfords way.
Good news about the forest game is that they'll only be allowed to field 11 players at one time!

We did on 1st Sep 1948!
Just watching the Summerville foul again. Clear penalty
Jonty I might not agree with everything you say but you always detail your reasoning and challenge of the argument which constitutes debate as I understand the english definition of it.
What I don't get is people not responding constructively but labelling non agreement as moaning or worse personal abuse - just totally pathetic.
And there I was thinking it was juts my wife whose memory was going, maybe I have the menopause too!
Can't expect a lot from a game where thanks to poor officiating you're two goals down. No penalty & no free-kick it's a completely different game.
Predictably harsh verdict on Marsch seeing red. The foul on Summerville was a penalty, not surprised he had plenty to say when you consider what had gone before. Lampard, Klopp, Tuchel do it every week but go unpunished.
Cooper is our best centre-half & that was clear last season.
Ayling made a really positive impact when he came on.
LB we miss an Alioski - someone who can defend reasonably well, but who also is a good attacking threat.
I still don't know why we let Alioski go like we did before seeing if Firpo was any good.
On the last two performances from us, we simply have no teeth in attack. We pass slickly around the opposition penalty area for ages, before pinballing it around our players and losing the ball.
We haven't been able to play against defence-minded teams for years now.

we never always agree with each other, but when stuff gets abusive, that's when I filter, then I dont have to read the comments and more importantly they cant come on my threads and argue the toss.
It needs others to start calling them out on it otherwise this board descends into chaos.
Klopp is even allowed to come on to the pitch to discuss what card to issue to opponents player!
Very weird Bielsa type game.
Thought we were quite decent in parts and a car crash at other times.
Don't know how we are going to solve the defence.
No question Llorente needs binned but to throw the returning Cooper straight in could cause problems also.
Midfield has been hit and miss with only Adams consistent in his performances.
Up front I actually think will be fine if Bamford stays fit and gets a few more games behind him.
Next game is absolutely vital we don't lose otherwise pressure and supporters frustrations will increase.

Skysports just said
* Played well but were poor defensively
* Llorente was really poor
* Marsch was sent off for being frustrated about the unawarded penalty
* We should he happy Cooper, Ayling and Bamford are back
* Really poor performance at times during the game

I think Ayling big positive because I dont think Kristensen up for this yet and Ayling is a real leader on the pitch.
As you say ineffective up top at moment.
