Potter deserves a bigger club but why does it have to be Chelsea? A promising career down the drain then.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He can say no thanks
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well he's an intelligent man so there's still hope.

He is doing well with Brighton. If he wants to show ambition he could wait until the end of the season to get a choice of more big teams.

Seems a bizarre choice from a continuity perspective.
Top manager, no doubt for me; but if they’re hoping that he’ll bring the same kind of approach that he’s delivered at Brighton, he’s going to need a lot of work doing on the Chelsea squad. It’s completely unsuitable for Potterball.

Don’t forget to show your workings too.
He won't turn them down, will double/treble his salary and will get a huge pay off when sacked, plus he gets to manage in the champs league, never going to happen with Brighton
Would he, or anybody else for that matter, want to put their reputation on the line, with the world class expert who is now your owner and knows far better, thus far, than anyone else how to run a PL club?

Some where where he is under pressure to succeed more than just staying up. If Potter ended 17th every season he'd still have his job, Tuchel has lost his after ending 4th and making a better start than Liverpool & Man United.
Will be going from no pressure, no big superstar egos, no budget to spend to having a Chairman who is buying the players expects the team to be winning and in contention and is willing to sack a manager 6 games into his reign as Chairman.
In any other line of work, this is a massive massive promotion. Sink or swim.

I think Chelsea would be a good move for Potter, but he needs to be given a couple of seasons to get the team right, the board can’t expect instant results.
