I don't think anyone is saying he categorically didn't do anything, just that settling out of court doesn't automatically mean you're guilty.
Ronaldo settled his Las Vegas rape accusation out of court as an example.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Interesting example, when you see the transcript its very clear Ronaldo is guilty in that one
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I read the DA is a bit corrupt and wouldn’t prosecute, despite the evidence, as well.

I'll admit that was a bit tongue in cheek as it was a United poster implying settling out of court = guilt.
If I remember right the transcript couldn't be used due to how it was obtained I think?
The fact that people on this thread defend Andrew is all the more reason to get rid of the monarchy. It stops people from thinking straight. Lost a lot of respect for some otherwise decent posters.
Well that's some mental gymnastics
I think you're overestimating some otherwise decent posters. See any thread about a footballer accused of abusing a woman.

what has the conduct of Prince Andrew got to do with the fundamental question of the future of the UK Constitution Monarchy?

I'm not a court of law. He conceded a civil suit and paid damages. He is therefore definitely guilty on a balance of probabilities at the very least.
Going by your logic then Epstein is also innocent? He was never found guilty by a court of law and we don't have irrefutable proof that he was guilty, do we.
But Andrew belongs to us so our subconscious demands irrefutable proof in his case.
I'm not a court of law.

Well, the then head of the Royal Firm gave her son money to make a very dodgy seeex case go away.
The current king supposedly took £3 million in cash in bags from the Qatari PM
Those kind of things don’t exactly show the monarchy in a great light. Isn’t it time to retire the royal family and join the 21st century ?
We are in the 21st century along with some very well run monarchies? Including three Nordic countries and Holland.

Context is important. That was all disclosed and handed straight to his charities.
There's plenty of good reasons to abolish the monarchy we can talk about without resorting to Daily Mail headlines

bang on cue again Robb
Not really Robb. I could tell you true stories about many members of English/Scottish./British Royal families going back to William 1 that would make your toes curl. But guess what? They are here today.
Andrew is a minor Royal. he isnt going to deide the future of mine or even your country.
There are over 40 sovereign countries on the World (including your own) with a monarchy
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_current_monarchies
I agree as a concept its Old Skool but I am not really interested in any other country except the UK and I haven't seen a better alternative that doesn't depend on asking the moronic electorate of my own country to elect a Head Of State. (Like they did so perfectly with Brexit Boris and no doubt will do with celtic Independence and the destruction of the UK Until then I am and the majority of the UK are happy
(ish) with what we have. Until things change I will let you know.
Meanwhile please feel free as Australians to jump ship and start your own Republic. Please. It will be the best thing you guys EVER do. But you probably wont because you all still mainly agree with the British status quo (and I dont mean the rock band).

Ah, I see you are a man of culture as well.
The 2 questions I always ask are:
Would you be better off if the UK was a republic?
Have the monarchy stopped you from realising your full potential as a person if you're a UK citizen?
My answer would be no, I'd love to hear the reasoning behind anyone who answers yes to one or both of the questions.

Republic - be careful what you wish for I guess. Green grass and all that. Personally part of me thinks this is the way forward, not sure people born to entitlement sits well with me in this day and age - BUT, I think we'd rue the decision in the long term.
Ex-military - so no, i don't think the monarchy has particularly affected my ambitions or potential in life - enabled them if anything. I've never had any ambition to be a king, or royal for that matter, far too incestuous for my liking. Much prefer being salt of the earth and oppressed .......
