Haaland strains his joints beyond belief just when he runs ffs. He'll get a load of injuries, knees especially, and he will have to adapt his game. To be honest I suspect he will have to lose some muscle too like Vidic did when he did it with us in 2011. Can't wait to be proven right again when Haaland gets a nasty injury, not to sound mean but I will be quite smug.

This isn't the 1960's, i'm pretty sure the club and the docs run every test available on him, regularly, it sounds like you are clutching at straws. I didn't hear this type of talk about Drogba, Costa etc (big strikers)

I think his physique coupled with the pace he is capable of will mean his joints will be under tremendous pressure. I will be amazed if he goes the next 5 years without a serious knee or ankle injury that keeps him out a significant amount of time.

He is built like a NFL running back and those guys are constantly injured

So now we have two fortune tellers/doctors who think this guy will breakdown. JA606, the home of keyboard fortune tellers and doctors 🤣🤡

It’s called an opinion Luka, some people like to give them rather than exclusively dealing with stats and facts.

Maybe you would prefer chatting with Hafi about how United dominate the expected thrown ins stat in the oppositions final third if a game is on a Sunday and there has been rain in the preceding 48 hours

Costa didnt run
Drogba ran far less and was significantly slower

drogba was rapid in his prime?

posted on 20/9/22

although drogba wasnt even that big, was just very strong for his size. I think he was only 6ft1 and about 83kg

People said the same about Nadal in tennis because of the intensity of his game at the time, but the guy adapted his game to keep winning titles in his 30s.

Haaland has Viking blood too!

Nadal missed plenty of tournaments through injury also and his tournament wins tailed off significantly from the early to mid years when the injuries really took hold.

The feck is this mess. There is not a club in the world choosing Kane over Haaland ffs and that includes Spurs.

He has it sown up already, Ladbrokes have stopped taking bets on it. 100% nailed on as Surfer of the Year.

Should probably change the honour to 'giant surfer of the year'.

Haaland is a phenomenon but i do think this will be his peak, injuries will take a toll on his playing style.

Gonna smash the goals in a season record. Move over Harry there is a new flat track bully in town.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah exactly it. Haaland is a monster that IF he stays fit, he will destroy all records. Big question mark over whether he remain fit long term though.

Culer might be on the wind up, but he isn't completely wrong. Nobody would choose Kane ahead of Haaland for the long run, but right now, for a one-off season, I'd take Kane.

Right now, Kane's all-round game is still superior to Haaland's. Lots of variables would need to be considered according to the needs of the team in question, but Kane can get team mates a lot more involved than Haaland, so albeit with lower goal returns, his overall contribution could be more important.

To Spurs maybe, as they lack the quality City have.

And goes back to the point could Haaland do what Kane does at Tottenham ….nope

Kane could,at least, get near Haalands goal contributions at city

Haaland scored 115 goals in 116 games for Salzburg and Dortmund, both teams you would argue are no better than Spurs, and before people say they played in inferior leagues, 23 of those goals came in 19 CL games. Why do people think he will struggle to score goals for Spurs when their game plan for years has been to sit deep and get the ball to their forwards as soon as possible?

We get the ball forward quick to guys who work outside the box

We do not play to haalands strengths at all

He plays for threaded passes or crosses ….we don’t do either well

Those teams he scored goals for before clearly played to his strengths

He would need to bring at least de bruyne with him

Kane can do it on his own

Not saying Haaland can’t but just not seen it yet ….he is (brilliantly) finishing moves off ….he doesn’t seem to be involved in any build up (yet)

Was involved with Foden's goal against Wolves, and set up a goal against Bournemouth. Drove forward for his goal against Wolves, please try harder.

Haaland is the perfect fit for City whilst Kane is not.City have 10 players(including their keeper who can supply Haaland, why would City either want or entertain Kane who is much as a provider as a goalscorer?.

City have the ideal forward in Haaland for how they play,Spurs have the ideal forward in Kane for how they play,Swap em around and both will be far less affective.

For me Haaland is on another level to anything ever seen on these shores.

That would need to be yourself that needs to try harder than give examples of goals scored against two of the worse teams so far this season in the league

I’m never going to argue Haaland isn’t a better striker than Kane cos he is already

A footballer he isn’t though and I doubt he ever will be , he isn’t that type of player but would be happy to be proven wrong as I think that would make him the best forward ever seen

One way to deal with this stupid debate is to compute the cost of each goal scored in terms of what the players cost their clubs.
I.e., Player's cost / number of goals scored
Enjoy doing the simple arithmetic....and tell me which player has the lower ratio?
Between these two players only, that player is a better proposition for his clubs bank balance!

Why not work out how many trophies have been won at what cost by each player?

Kane...one of their own,but countless millions in wages over the years

Haaland.....cost a few bob,won nothing trophy wise with City yet,but played fewer games than Kane has played seasons for Spurs.

I can virtually guarantee by the end of this season that Haaland will cost less per trophy than Kane.
