It’s fraud. I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again: Man City have murdered football.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Murdered Manchester United at the weekend, that is for sure.

See anything comes of further investigation. But tbh, as I say over again on here, with the tv deal I’m not sure why the club would need to falsify this sponsor. 10 years ago maybe it would be more believable. But now, the top clubs in the country make about 150m each season in tv money alone, along with a savvy transfer strategy, City are no longer in a position to need a dodgey sponsor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

'No longer'.

Hang on you claimed for years it wasn't dodgy. Now you're a lot closer to being more self sufficient and the mask slips
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Eh?

A dodgey deal would of been beneficial for the club 10 years ago, with ffp. I’m not saying they did any - you can think what you want but ultimately we only have the findings from the court. Even the shirt sponsorship that you were crying about at the time has turned out to be undervalued if anything.

The club don’t really have anything to gain from that at this stage though.

City aren't buying or paying players more than what other teams do. They aren't dominating European football either.

The finances are quite irrelevant. It's not a business model thats working to the extent it potentially could
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Their finances are very relevant. They aren't truthful. They have clearly enhanced several deals over the years. Anyone who thinks otherwise is delusional.

When Uefa asked to see their books they came out with a strong statement refuting any wrong doing and then proceeded to not hand over any paper work for about 18 months why they appealed and appealed.
This is not the behaviour of a club that hasn't done anything wrong. If they hadn't they'd have handed it over immediately to embarrass Uefa and clear their name.

Their claimed economic growth is simply not possible. This is why they keep a lot of their deals inside the UAE.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's clearly all dodgy. But all English clubs can out spend most other leagues so it's hard to feel any sympathy

I'm not sure ANY PL club needs the revenue that much that they should accept sponsorship from betting companies given the misery gambling causes to the families of so many football fans. Disappointed in City following that trend.

Well done United for happening to be top of the pile when Sky actually ruined the game thus solidifying their status as top 'but we earned it ' guys

posted on 4/10/22

Is there any mention of how much the deal is worth?

Companies pay money just to have their name on the background board when players are being interviewed.

I went to Myanmar a few years ago, just before the military coup and the borders were closed off.

Buses in Yangon were advertising 'The Offical Rice Of Manchester United' with a graphic showing a bag of rice and the United crest.

This is the sort of deal United fans describe as earning money 'The proper way'.

So sponsoring a food product in a desperately poor country, with an oppressive regime running the show is apparently the way to go.

What City have done and continue to do is simply not fair; there must be an even playing field, yet they breach every rule!

For goodness sake when will something be done?!!

The way their fans make excuses is cringe too, they all know deep down they’re committing fraud but try to lie their way around it. Bomdia, GratedBean and Boris are just like flat earthers, such is their denial.

I mean that’s a wider conversation tbh. I always maintained that City now are a product of a footballing landscape that United were not only happy to be part of, they fecking pioneered it. So of all the clubs to complain about how we are run it’s a bit rich, we just do it better than them now.

Told you stinky will be here 😜😜

Stinky, when you went to Burma, it wasn't under an oppressive regime and then how can you fault any financial deals by Utd?

Why do City need to do these sort of deals with no mark companies nobody has heard who don't seem to have a CEO but are based in the UAE?

Why are they buying up football clubs in every corner of the globe that don't make any money? How many are there now?

How very convenient that Etihad just happened to be the best deal on the table? An airline that their owner's brother runs that hasn't posted a profit in it's entire history.

Nothing to do with it being a betting company. United have a legitimate sponsor. City have made one out of thin air.

"player sales"...

Agreed. In the last ten years players sale between Chelsea (another model club) and Man City is over £300mil.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Dont get this. Do you mean chelsea have sold £300million more worth of players?

We earn the money we spent because we’re a juggernaut. You lot are a bunch of hobbits compared to us.

And realistically you have no idea what other “offers were on the table”. And tbh I doubt you have any interest either, rather just give another opinion as fact to suit your weird obsession with a narrative about Uniteds wealth being earned and Citys not.
