It’s amazing how unforgiving the fan base is when the football is turgid. I think most of us would just about put up with the dull football as long as there’s a cast iron guarantee of success, but there isn’t. The losses are so much more raw if you play negatively. It was the same under Jose.

What the guy says on the radio isn’t necessarily wrong. It’s a bit knee jerk but we’re all thinking similarly on this. Even the most ardent of Conte fans would be having a bit of a wobble of late. Don’t forget Poch did everything Conte is doing and more in terms of numbers whilst playing attractive front foot football. All over a five year period.

I think a lot of the negativity comes from being in Poch’s shadow. After his reign there was an expectant fan base where there wasn’t one when he joined. That made it harder for Jose, Nuno and now Conte. Now we expect CL playing good football.

In short, we dumped an absolute banger and now we’ve had to endure the indignity of dating three absolute trogs. It’s gonna hurt.

Yep, she's just as in love with us as we are with her so she's turned down other potential partners in the hope of rekindling things with an old flame.
