The final of the English Open will clash with the world cup final. Imagine if England reach the world cup final and one of our players reaches the English Open final
I do think that this tournament should have been played in September or October as there pretty much weren't any snooker tournaments in September (not till the very end anyway)

They have changed the schedule around this season haven't they? Think the English Open is usually played earlier in the year. The Grand Prix is usually played after the Scottish Open in December I think.

The Grand Prix was initially in February- March from 2015-2020. Then they changed it to December and now it's back to February again. English Open used to be in October.

Maybe they should consider grouping the tournaments a bit more in the calendar.

Kick off the season with the Champion of Champions based on the previous season.

Then play the Northern Ireland, Scottish, English and Welsh Opens back to back, which acts as a build up to the British Open, and then the UK Championship. They could do all of that in the 1st half of the season. A Bonus is awarded to the best overall performer.

In January have some non-ranking events - Masters, Shootout, Hong Kong Masters, Mixed Doubles (would like a proper team event brought back)

Then have a proper International series - German Masters, Turkish Masters, European Masters then any Chinese tournaments they want to bring back. Another bonus for the best overall performer.

Based on performances in these tournaments - play the Grand Prix (Top 32 on 1 year list), Players Championship (is that top 16?) then Tour Championship (Top 8?). They should have the Championship league here for players who do not qualify.

Then finish with the World Championship where everyone has matches under their belt.

I know these tournaments are kind of grouped this way already but I think it would bring more structure to the season.

I don't like The World Grand Prix being straight after the Masters, they should have had the Shoot out after the Masters and then the World Grand Prix after that.

The Grand Prix last season was played now in December... Why all the moving around...
