How many goals needed to be forgiven for beating women? 20+?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Newcastle Utd fans don't see to be booing much these days despite the fact the money behind their club is in all likelihood linked to people who have done way worse than what Greenwood is alleged to have done.
Do you honestly think the Sheikh hasn't done anything really shady over the years in Abu Dhabi? I bet he's had the odd person 'dissapear' in the UAE desert in his time.
You lot don't seem to care either about any of that stuff.

Him breaking bail conditions to contact her is so vague though. We don't know who contacted who. If she's agreed to meet him then even though he's still in breach of his bail it's nowhere near as bad as him stalking her for example.
Like everything with this case though, we have about 10% of all the information. It's been a total shambles really if we are honest.
To not be able to charge him after 9 months is crazy. What more can they possibly need? They must have got all interviews, phone screenshots and everything by now.
All I can think it is now is that Slshe's not pressing charges and the Police are trying to convince her to do so or the case will probably get squashed.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The crown prosecution don’t need the victims consent to prosecute in cases of domestic abuse as it is realised the victim is often afraid or protective of the abuser, all they need is sufficient evidence to believe a conviction could be expected in court to proceed the action.

This is true, but it becomes very hard. It is pretty hard anyway, as there is rarely witnesses - even with the evidence we know about it will be hard to prove. Likelihood is the CPS wouldn't go ahead with it.
Also her going back to him for whatever reason, money etc does not make what he did any more ok. Some total mongggos not understanding this concept

I saw yesterday that she's now following him on Instagram again.
If she takes him back and the case is dropped it'll be a tricky situation for United really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tricky? That would be the perfect situation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't be silly. Of course it will be tricky.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've been through this countless times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have we.
I see no reason why this would be tricky, other than for those that had found him guilty long ago..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It'll be tricky because of the optics of United playing a suspected abuser. I know in law it's innocent until proven guilty but I think most of us have seen enough to know how distasteful it'd all be if he played for United again.
Don't get my wrong I'd have loved for this not to happen but the club has a wider responsibility to protect their reputation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All of this. Of course it's tricky. I mean he now being repeatedly arrested.
I've no love for Utd but I don't envy them in this situation. It's a £60m asset likely in the bin and aside of money Utd love a youth player coming through the ranks and that's before we go into Utd desperately needing a striker.
You've got a be a bit of a moron not to see this if we're honest.

That’s true, we need someone more clinical, with massive numbers, shipman maybe?

I saw yesterday that she's now following him on Instagram again.
If she takes him back and the case is dropped it'll be a tricky situation for United really.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Tricky? That would be the perfect situation
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't be silly. Of course it will be tricky.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
How?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We've been through this countless times.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Have we.
I see no reason why this would be tricky, other than for those that had found him guilty long ago..
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It'll be tricky because of the optics of United playing a suspected abuser. I know in law it's innocent until proven guilty but I think most of us have seen enough to know how distasteful it'd all be if he played for United again.
Don't get my wrong I'd have loved for this not to happen but the club has a wider responsibility to protect their reputation.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All of this. Of course it's tricky. I mean he now being repeatedly arrested.
I've no love for Utd but I don't envy them in this situation. It's a £60m asset likely in the bin and aside of money Utd love a youth player coming through the ranks and that's before we go into Utd desperately needing a striker.
You've got a be a bit of a moron not to see this if we're honest.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Lots of players have been arrested over the years. Its not a career killer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Never heard any audio like that though before have we? And it might not kill his career, but I doubt he will play at United again

For seemingly abusing a woman, on camera, at a time when the women's game is being promoted? Not a good look.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But that’s the mans role, right UWW? That’s what women want? Isn’t that what your buddy on YouTube the noncemaster or whatever he’s called says?

The woman’s team aspect alone would probably rule out his return

Elvis - we shall see. If it’s thrown out. United have no legal bases to do that
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Bringing the club into disrepute?

There is less than zero chance that he plays for the club again. Unless it turns out it wasn't him in the video and it was fake etc. That is literally the only scenario in which he plays for the club again.
