Can vividly remember the Hillsborough afternoon.

I was at Old Trafford, watching United lose to Derby County, hearing awful rumours from people’s radios around the ground. Remember it well.

The ‘73 FA Cup final, Sunderland v Leeds, Sunderland keeper had the game of game.
As an unreal spectacle The ‘78 World Cup final with all the controversies during and pre final KO but the atmosphere with the ticker tape and the pressure on the Argies to bring it home with that beautiful kit was just different gravy to a kid.

I think it was the mens 100m final at the 1992 Olympics.

I must have been 6/7, me and my Dad had been watching the games and my Mum came in with my sister just as the race started, so we ended up all in the living room, glued to the TV, and Linford Christie absolutely smashed it!
84 Olympics
Zola Budd all the way from SAF to LA.

Daley Thompson - the final 1500 metres (his less favoured event) must have hurt like hell. His battle with Hingsen was truly two guys slugging it out in what is probably the hardest competition in sport. To be so good in 10 different athletics disciplines is worthy of total respect.
Sunderland v Leeds FA Cup Final - Goalkeeper Jim Montgomerie was amazing and the real hero of the game.
The competition between Coe and Ovett over many years and the subsequent emergence of Steve Cram when GB dominated middle-distance running for many years.

Mansell winning the 1992 F1 championship for me, although I have vague memories of Senna winning the year before.
Football-wise, Euro 96.

I remember it vividly too. I was only 11, but can remember the news coming over the radio. My then brother in law was at the game and my sister was out our house as we waited for news from him. It turned out that he was one of the fans that was lifted up onto the tier above.
