Not one of mine but my work friend/colleague knows the Twilight actor Robert Pattinson. Years ago he and his wife was out in London with him, Sienna Miller (and boyfriend) and a few other people. During the night Sienna showed my friend some texts she'd being getting from a very famous married footballer asking for well, you know!

Good old Giggsy.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I had a drunken conversation in a Manchester nightclub circa 1995. The story went that someone was giving it large to Ryan Giggs, in the very same nightclub's toilets. Giggs had responded by pulling out his wallet, taking a £50 note (or a wad of tens, I really can't remember) and producing his cigarette lighter, burning the money, and making some pithy comment about how much richer he was than his assailant. The narrator of this story saw this as an awesome sign of Giggs's class, but from that day I always had a suspicion he might be a bit of a douchebag.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Boris and his Oxford Uni bumchums burnt money in front of homeless people.
Met Conor McGregor outside Hyde in Vegas, he was a complete bell. In his defence he lost a fight the night previous so probably wasn't in the mood for chit chat.

This is a story told about a load of footballers - I believe the only corroborated one is Tino Asprilla.
Tino also has one of my favourite football anecdotes. When he was at Parma the manager was running through tactics with the team. Tino asked the manager why they were carrying out such tactics. The manager asked Tino why he wanted to know, to which Tino answered because I am at that age now where i should pretend to care

For any wrestling fans I had a chat with Shawn Michaels in a bar in Arizona, really friendly and interesting character.
Bill Goldberg was in an airport and I spoke with him too. Comes across as a great guy.
Spoke with Craig Bellamy and wasn't expecting a pleasant person, but he spoke to me for a good 10 mins and was very polite.
Went to Yerevan to see an Armenian friend and watch a match there, spoke to Henrikh Mkhitaryan. Really friendly guy.
Not my experience personally but heard Peter Kay is an egotistical nob.
Have a look on Reddit for stories about J-Lo and Jared Leto, sound like awful people.

Saw a bald guy hacking round Betws y Coed golf club on his own back in 2007. Invited him to play with us and it was Mickey Thomas. Decent guy and chatty about how poor his golf was. Said he's sort out my West Ham supporting mate with 'tickets from Bellers'. He never did!
His son runs a gym in town and is a rabid anti-vaxxer! Mickey was born where I live and lives in the area but I've never seen him since. Do see his posts on social media walking places I sometimes take the dog. Maybe he's avoiding me so he doesn't have to give me the tickets!

I once saw Gary Hopper in 3 steps to heaven in Glasgow - which was an ice cream/confectionary shop, not, I repeat, not a brothel/massage parlour.
Anyway no real story, I literally saw him there eating an ice cream but did not interact. I did think it odd though, he was playing for Celtic at that time and yet here he was eating a bloody big ice cream during the season.

On a similar note, I once saw Eric Pollard in Majestic's night club in Leeds.
Oh, and I saw Henry Warton absolutely off hits box at Mint club in Leeds. Asked him if he wanted to get in my belly button. He politely declined.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It wasn't him!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm sure you can't say who it was.
In a totally unrelated comment, if I were to guess your favourite colour of football I'd say it would be Golden Balls.
You reminded me actually, I met Darren Anderton in a club when I was 18, he told my mate to f'off because he was "getting girls".
Also met Matt Le Tiss in a kebab shop whilst he was playing for Soton. He was nice but clearly p*ssed.

Seven guesses may be enough I suppose but no, I absolutely cannot confirm who this famous footballer was.

Darren Anderton? Was it kudos in Watford?

Ah yes, I also served a Russell Brand a few drinks in Australia. He was nice enough and left me a really good tip.
Pritchard from DIrty Sanchez was in our hostel and was a really good laugh.

No, place in Southampton. I forget the name tbh, it was around 94/95 and my memory isn't that good

I imagine that last encounter could have gone very badly wrong for you Elvis
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I know right? Imagine if he'd actually got in?

My mate met Russell brand about 3 months ago, got a selfie with him, said he was a top bloke. I also used to play football with a die hard West Ham fan who is involved heavily with the supporters clubs, he has met Brand a few times and said he is as down to earth as it gets
