Obviously not particularly easy on the eye, but if it works….

Thought this was going to be some ludicrous idea from the Tories.

If Conte wants to play like this..he needs monstrous defenders.

No, their strategy is for us to sit in the dark wearing all our jumpers and a coat eating gruel.

Thing is, it’s pretty obvious that’s what we’re doing, and now it’s confirmed.

Thought you were going to suggest not bothering to turn the tv on until the 2nd half

Well it’s going to back fire soon with our defence

We could be on the end of a real hiding by half time from someone

It maybe working by more luck than judgement but it’s an awful watch

Bet there wasn’t a spurs fan around who wasn’t so angry at half time last night

I will never be on board with this tactic as it will only work long term with a world class defence

Kinda wished I hadn’t!

Although I watched quite a bit of the second half through my fingers!

Maybe charge the fan's half price.

It was pretty evident to me at HT we would push more in the second. Bournemouth was the same. We do finish stronger playing this way.

It's take balls to play that way. Fairplay to Conte.

Defending uses up a lot more mental energy and is definitely more stressful, so don't agree with that theory if indeed conte did say it

But the theory is based on the physical workload.

I’d also say chasing the ball around is more tiring than being the team passing about

So mentally and physically more exhausting

So why is this tactic being played ….our luck will run out

Spurs aren’t covering a lot of ground when they are defending, though. I’m not sure what the statistics are, but I’d imagine you are covering fewer miles than most teams in the league this season. That wasn’t the case last season under Conte, I think you were top over the season once he joined.

I can see that but it's asking a lot if you're going behind every game, in the United, arsenal and Newcastle games we couldn't come back

When your 2 or 3 goals up and running on adrenalin you don't get physically tired
