If that was Sess on TAA, a penalty is given 100%, we know it and they know it. Cancelo did the same and was red carded and a penalty conceded.
I also thought Kane had his legs taken and should have had another penalty, the Varpool player was certainly nowhere near the ball.
Then there was a clear free kick on the edge of the box not given and a dangerous high boot also not punished, it was one of the most bent displays of refereeing I have seen for a long time.
Every time a Pool player fell over under no (or minimal) contact, the ref blew for a foul straight away.
Just another game in a long list against Varpool where the officials conspire to do us over, it happens almost every time we play them and is nothing new, no wonder our record against them is so poor.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Billy, the ref was awful yesterday. Definitely favoured Liverpool all match. 100 per cent he would have handed them at least two penalties if those incidents had been the other way.

Looked pretty blatant to me.
I think though that for VAR to intervene, this would feel like re-reffing a game rather than correcting mistakes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I thought that was what VAR was supposed to do, come to the correct decision.
They are always getting involved with hairline decisions, but something as clear cut as today, they chose not to get involved with. Very strange.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
But there is no absolute correct decision, it’s a matter of opinion.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Winston, pushing a player in the back in the penalty area is as correct a decision as it gets.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it isn't, otherwise there would be ten penalties a match. If you cast your mind back to last season Jota was denied a penalty for a push with more force from Emerson Royal, in the 1-1. I think both were penalties myself but let's not pretend it was as clear cut as they come.

Yep Jota not getting a pen is one of the worst decisions I've ever seen. Far more clear cut than yesterday's, and they should have been down to 10 as well. So they should quit moaning.

Yeah they really helped us last season when we didn't get a blatant penalty and Kane wasn't sent off.

What in the same game when Winks should of had a penalty also you mean, you probably don't remember that given the media won't give it a second mention. Then there was the game at Klanfield when Fabinho was let off a clear red card etc, the other game when Robertson was let off a red card, or when Allison was allowed to pick the ball up from outside his area, or when Suarez was let off with deliberately kicking Parker and Dawson etc etc etc, I could go on but would be here all day.
