Anyone but Argentina and Messi.
Both qualifiers from Canada's group of death still there.
Feck Argentina. I’d like Morocco or Croatia to win it, how great would that be for their fans?

Croatia hardly have any fans. Couldn't even fill the city of Cassablanca with their fans. Pathetic small time country and fans that only started supporting the Croatia team in the 90s. No one cares if they win it.

We have played scintillating football in 1986 and were the first African country to qualify from the group stages but were knocked out by a lucky Germany in the 1/8 final. In 1994 and 1998 we outplayed all our opponents but didn't qualify from the group stages. Ask those Scottish fans.
In 2018 we were better than Portugal and Spain but we lost and drew. The WC isn't about entertainment but winning.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Everyone expected Croatia to do well though. That's the point. They should be playing better football. They have a Ballon D'Or winner playing for them. Southgate did the best he could with players that no one really rates that highly. No one really expected England to get far and certainly didn't expect them to beat France.

I've enjoyed the Morocco games. Are we supposed to be thinking that Spain and Portugal out skilled them and they just got lucky? That's certainly not the games I watched. I don't think they are even "doing a Greece"... They shown plenty of skill and about equal attacking thinking as the teams they've faced.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Morocco have had 33 shots all tournament. Less than seven shots a game. France and Argentina have had 78 and 72 respectively.

So technically Croatia was born in Modric?
It's not the biggest tragedy that befell the region at that time, nor at the top of the list of Slobodan Milošević's charge list, but I've always felt sorry that we didn't get to see the greatest ever Yugoslavia side in Euro 92. It had the great Croatian players of the time (Boban, Suker, Prosinecki) along with greats from other republics such as Pancev, Savicevic and Mijatović.
Argentina most due to Messi and their support.
Don't want any of the others to win. Morocco and Croatia would compound the embarrassment for England if they won a World Cup while we still struggle after 50 years. France just won one.
I assume you were cheering on England diafol, being a patriotic Welshman.
Also nice 5* grab with Argentine obviously most people would like to see Messi win it!

This way of playing goes against our traditional style. We always have played possession based football with technical players very good in tight spaces. This coach has changed this as he was appointed in August and the preparation time was too short. I was a bit disappointed with the tactics at first as it goes against our football DNA but the results have changed my thinking. We need to mix it a bit for the next WC tournament.
