Is it not true that practically every head of state, including Russian and Chinese, have visited, to meet the Queen.
Does this not give us access that most other countries do not have?
----------------------------------------------------------------------
A fallacy. We are still the 4/5/6th biggest economy of the World (India, France, UK all around the same) and they aint coming here for photo ops.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Definitely not a good fallacy. Every us president since the war has visited, they like the idea of the coach and Palace. In fact it is acknowledged what a pull she's been
----------------------------------------------------------------------
What wouldn't happen if they didn't come? We'll not sell you Trident we didn't see the queen? Absolute bawz.
Anyway Harry and Meghan, opinions on them please, I already did a post on Monarchy
I'm fairly sure countries with no gold hat family still get visited.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
It gives a massive bill to the security services for what is basically
"Ooooooo you've got a gold hat."
"Ooooooo you've got one too!"
"Let's sit in gold chairs together because we were born."

Doubt if the president sels armaments to the Queen

And what about countries that don't have a monarchy? Are there heads of state that never visit those countries because there is no monarchy?

Do you mean every president, or every IS president?
If you mean the US president, then I reckon every US president would still have visited the UK at least once during their tenure, even without a monarchy.
We are basically their closest ally in the world. A visit to the UK would always happen without doubt.

None of those countries are as important as the UK. This idea they are only coming to visit the queen is baffling.

My final comment. The Royal family are popular.
It's not a good idea to get rid of an institution people want to keep. It's not democratic.
