The decline in music has been quite remarkable. I don't understand how it got so bad.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It's terrible. I blame immigrants and poor people
80s pop was like being stabbed repeatedly in the face just with a high reverb snare drum. Only 80s metal was good. Everything else was horrendous in every way. Literally a decade of Thatcher and Liverpool.

Genuinely 80s movies and music were the best

You can look at any single year of the 80s and just be blown away by how many classic films were released in that year

To go through life never knowing the song of the mogwai, never asking why Willie Scott didn't have her actual heart ripped out before being lowered into the flames like the first guy did, never seeing a young Johnny Depp sucked into his bed along with his television before being regurgitated as a fountain of blood, never being told that fear does not exist in this dojo, never knowing that the Terminator is out there, and that it can't be bargained with, can't be reasoned with, that it doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear, and that it absolutely will not stop, ever, until you are dead! – are you even alive in the first place?

To be fair, Star Wars was 1977.
It's my belief that, in terms of movies, the 80s began in 1975 with Jaws, and ended in 1993 with Jurassic Park.

I don't know but I've been told
Airmen's wings are made of gold
It don't matter what I feel
Airmen's wings are made of steel
This has always bothered me.
Is somebody lying? Are these wings made of gold, or steel, or some kind of alloy of the two? I've always suspected that Gunnery Sergeant Hartman would not have appreciated being asked.
I don't discriminate between Lancastrian, Scouse, Cockney or Midlander, here you are all equally worthless
An ode to Culer
