Still feels weird to me he can move to the ball so clearly, then just carry on being involved in the play and it not be offside.

He absolutely influences the defenders, it happens all the time and rarely gets given, refs only seem to care if an offside player gets in the way of a keepers vision/movement it seems

I think so too, I personally hate the current offside rule in general - i think it goes against the spirit of what it was intended for.

It was meant to stop goal hanging which going off this decision you could still do so long as you don't touch the ball immediately. I also think we should be giving the benefit of the doubt to the attackers rather than disallowing goals for having a toe offside.

Tbf I don't think most Liverpool fans thought they'd be in this position going into the new year let alone Salah. I bet he thought his title chances were done with Klopp going and Pep staying. Football can be a funny game.

I suspect they will find a compromise with him eventually. Without him they'd a far more ordinary team. Think he's pushing 75% of all goals now that he's either created or scored. Very much the definition of a one man match towards a title.

All teams are playing today or tomorrow but Arsenal are playing on Wednesday. Why??They have five days rest and before that six days while others had three days between games. Also they're barely going out of London.

Hmmmm possibly. There are other ways around it though by sacrificing a forward player. In this form you just can't leave him 1v1 quite frankly.

Tbf after the first ten or so games, I thought Liverpool were in a slightly false position given they had an easier start and Arsenal had played away at Villa, us, Cuty snd then Chelsea.

Fair play to Liverpool though, they’ve looked excellent in recent weeks.

That’s not my point, is it? The Arsenal fan is moaning that we’re talking about Arsenal whilst we’re playing. But if Arsenal fans are on here when Liverpool are playing then why shouldn’t Liverpool fans be on here?
