Does this transfer suggest Ivan Toney might be a target in the summer?

Big man up top, works hard but he's younger, more technical and scores more. I wouldn't bet against it but Toney would.

I saw a clip of Sky reporting Inter are fed up with big Rom and may send him back to Chelsea.

Surprised our man Robbsie hasn’t done a should we go for him article yet.

We need a striker, neither Gakpo or Felix are one so they weren't really what we needed. Weghorst might not be perfect but he is actually a striker and gives us options, especially when looking for a goal late on.

On top of that we don't have loads of cash to spend this winter and the striker market is extremely limited. It's a sensible loan that eases the pressure on Martial for a few months.

Also, I don't think the fact we are going for Weghorst now suggests that is the type of striker EtH wants to bring in if finances and choice were less of an issue.

Interesting how Kompany didnt want him to fire Burnley back to the PL.

Why would Toney be against it?

He's just played in the world cup for Holland. He's probably bit above playing in second tier which is why he went on loan to begin with.

Nobody is expecting miracles from him at Utd either. He will spend most of the time on our bench but I reckon he'll score a few goals and probably win us some tight games here and there.

Was going to say this. The way Ronaldo is now it wouldn't take much to be better.

The fact Weghorst is a pressing monster and a real handful physically already puts him ahead of the current Ronaldo. Ronnie wasn't offering anything including goals.

Yeah that was my thinking.

I read Ronaldo is gonna get around £400m playing in Saudi Arabia as well as helping promote the 2030 WC bid, mental.

Good luck to him but I'm glad he's left now. Don't hate him or anything but he's certainly tarnished his legacy somewhat.

He always has been but his utter genius has always shone above it so he's got away with it somewhat.

Now he's no longer the player he was....all the other stuff just grates more.

He's still a club legend for me but purely based on his first stint. However I definitely don't hold him up in the same light I once did.

I reckon it will be Kane to United in the summer

He will have broken greaves record at Tottenham , won’t be winning anything under Enic so job done (he won’t be signing a new contract)

Ivan Toney to Tottenham as his replacement
