Does a league title or champions league title make him a better player ? Prove how good he is?
———
To an extent it does. The ability to lead a team to top honours is of huge value, and something Kane has regularly been unable to do with Spurs, even minor ones in his case as well.

The best player tend to show up on the biggest occasions and it’s something that has been missing from Kane’s career.

Obviously context matters. You could put Choupo-Moting up front for Bayern and they’d win a league title. But does adding Kane to their team lift them to a CL winning team?

This was always the question over Shearer as well. Not everything is a simple ‘x won trophies therefore is better than y’ but on the rare occasions that players as good as Shearer and Kane spend so long at clubs that don’t win anything then there’s always going to be a question mark around them. Whether rightly or wrongly it’s something that will be debated.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It’s a fair point

Kane has had chances to drag spurs to a trophy or two and has mostly flopped at crunch times

The flip side of that is playing for Tottenham in a crunch match means you have to take the 1 or 2 chances you may get in a game but playing for a bigger better team that becomes 3 or 4 chances and more likely he will bag a goal

Pochettino said recently that it’s one of Kane’s biggest motivations. And why he won’t leave the premier league.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

That adds a bit of meat to the assertion. But even then it's 'one of'. We only really see whether it's his biggest motivation if it's tested, and I think he's likely to have to decide whether accumulating PL goals or having realistic chances of league and European titles is top priority. Not only are City unlikely to want him, but he's in danger of not scoring those goals if he's competing with Haaland and Alvares for minutes.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Well yeah he’s not going to City. But from everything that I’ve learned about Kane over the years it’s that breaking Shearer’s record is why he won’t leave the premier league. Whether that means staying at Spurs or joining United remains to be seen, but I’d be surprised if he does go abroad.

Depends on the team, it doesn’t always translate that way in the biggest of games. Look at Real Madrid in recent years, for example. They’ve had huge games where they’ve been clinical and, or, needed some world class magic from their top players to get them over the line.

But yeah it obviously does help when you have lots of good players in the team. Though it’s not like Kane’s always been playing with a pile of shiiiiiit at Spurs.

Excl: Manchester United have reached full, verbal agreement to sign Wout Weghorst! Understand deal will cost around €3m to Besiktas — Weghorst will join on loan from Burnley. #MUFC

Final step needed: Besiktas will only approve the deal if they find the right replacement.

Quite a bit for a 5 month loan for a player of his ability but if it helps us then fair enough.

Kane to Real - Maybe. A great shot at the big titles, but would make the prem goal scorer record impossible.

Bayern - See above.

City- Dont need him.

Chelsea - Couldn't see Kane or Spurs agreeing to that.

Liverpool- Unclear if they need him, and questionable if they could afford such a deal as well as the CM they need.

Re are titles vs goal scoring records, we would all take Kane over Jesus.

Wonder if LVG tried his best to dissuade him from joining us?

It's dependant on them signing a replacement then it's not done.

Might have changed his tune seeing as we got rid of Ronaldo and want Weghorst to replace him. Doesn’t scream commercial deal, does it?

I reckon wout will prove to be a decent signing, and surprise a few

I was kind of joking. Thought it was funny that his hate for us was supposedly making him tell Dutch players not to join us. Would be great to see him give Ed a big slap one day.

For a loan fee of 3 million if he scores 10 across all competitions (depending on how much he features) it will have been a good deal

So done deal then, but only if Besiktas find a replacement? Could take till the end of the window then?

Apparently they are looking at free agent Vincent Aboubakar, who we were linked with and who has been sacked by Al-Nassr to make way for Cristiano Ronaldo.

This could be one of those football merry-go-rounds that people always think will happen and rarely does.
