Make no mistake Wood is a stop gap.

Can see them going big up front again in the summer.

The point he’s missing big time is that they signed Wood from one of their relegation rivals at the time, who then got relegated. They didn’t sign him to build their future team around him, but he’s certainly one of the most astute signings anyone has made in recent years.

Hard to disagree we don’t have a winning DNA. Certainly not in the ENIC era, but if Everton win something before us, we might as well pack up our bags and go home. Probably the worst run club in the premier league. Would be a travesty them winning a trophy before us.

Lewis and Levy were into Rangers as well - I think you are onto something here?

The way the League Cup is looking, a good chance that Newcastle, Southampton or Forrest could win a trophy before we do. With Newcastle it's sort of inevitable. Either of the other 2 winning would add even more insult to injury for us.
