Sure and that’s fine, I’m not one of the herd either and think Levy is the biggest problem at the club.

But I think you are way out there on your own with your view on Kane.

All opinions though, not point fighting each other about it

You are though. You're the black sheep but it's all so contrived. I think your opinions would hold more weight if occasionally you agreed with others every now and then but you don't. That can only mean one thing - what drives you is going against the grain. You think you're the Henry Fonda figure in 12 Angry Men, finding justice where others can't see it but you're not. You're more like Katie Hopkins or Lawrence Fox. Looking to antagonise rather than debate. There's no clearer evidence for that than here, where you say Kane, about to be the greatest goalscorer in the clubs near 150 year existence, is just 'okay'.

Come on Sandy. You know that not to be true. Sometimes things go beyond opinion. It's just fact. He's a legend of the club and always will be, and no shiny tin pot from the 60s is gonna change that.

Dropping Kane would be ridiculous particularly as we need every chance, albeit slim, of picking up points.

Dropping Lloris I would 100% agree with, he has cost us points on a number of occasions over the last few seasons so that can be justified.

Dropping just about our only hope of scoring is plain stupid particularly on the basis of a rumour.

Surely a better idea would be for us to abandon our ridiculous tactics, let the players enjoy their game in an effort to convince Harry to stay

Sandy doesn't want Kane to play for Spurs anymore because he will become the clubs greatest ever scorer beating Sandy's hero in doing so.

It's so obvious

Sandy this is so embarrassingly predictable from you

As soon as I saw your faux outraged comment of wanting Kane dropped because he won't be here next season, I knew there would be a 'controversial' article coming where you would exclude him

And look. How surprising.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

What is controversial about not picking a player that wants out. United did it with Ronaldo. So why would not Spurs do it with Kane.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ronaldo was causing problems in the dressing room and was very much all about himself

Kane has knuckled down, not thrown his toys out the pram and continues to be a model professional by playing well and continuing to play well for us

Again. Sad and embarrassingly predictable from you old timer.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

How do you know he is not causing problems in the dressing room? You are not there. So you would have no idea. The other players may be starting to resent him getting all the attention, and could be affecting their own performances.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Where you getting your info on this alleged rumour about him wanting out?

Arsenal result sapped all the enthusiasm out of me. As far as I'm concerned the league campaign feels over so not really bothered who we put out. We'll still play like shiiit in the first half and no doubt be chasing the game by the second.

Jimmy Greaves was also my hero and one of the reasons I start supporting Spurs as a kid but that was then this is now I hope Harry does break his record he deserves to.

I feel exaclty the same...Can't wait for the season to be over unless Conte changes the way we approach games and play. Whats the point in trying to contain teams every 1st half and conceed goals in doing so then having to chase the game.

CONTE !!!!!!! - hear this loud an clear you feckin khant this system of yours only works if the players can actually play it and not conceed or gift goals to the opposition.

Agreed. Can’t even be bothered to watch the City game. Not fussed if we lose. These owners and chairman have sucked the enjoyment out of it. Jan 18th, still no signings. Shambles.

Sorry Sandy,

Have to disagree with you on your team selection🤔

Kane is still very much a key member of the team, even if he is off (which I am unsure he is) then he should still play for us. As my monicker on here shows I am a massive and passionate fan of Jimmy, but records are there to be broken and Kane deserves his chance to do so.
Also we need to consider that if he continues to score goals at his current rate then surely his value will be at a really good level for Spurs to benefit from.

I would also pick Hugo, yes he has made mistakes (who hasn’t in the team?) but his shot stopping generally is top class. I think he may well leave in the summer and finish his playing days back in France.

I am nearly resigned to us finishing in the Europa spots and then our only way to retain CL football next year is to win the damned trophy this year!🤔😵‍💫🤣

I've said before that I'd be willing to back Conte and I stick by that but I suppose if we were to change manager, it would bring some renewed excitement over what and how they do, unless it's some defensive-minded bore again.

Pochettino also didn't get any proper time to actually use those two new players before he left. Lo Celso was injured pre-season if I recall correctly, then went on international duty, got injured again, and then Pochettino was sacked before he got fit again.

Ndombele played a few games but Pochettino was gone before the player integrated into the team/league - which no doubt contributed to how badly he ended up settling. Then again his struggles since suggest even Pochettino might have struggled to get a consistent tune out of him
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Like Pochettino was going to get a tune out of either Lo Celso or Ndombele. Give your head a wobble.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
If you remember, Poch wasn't really playing Ndombele and everyone criticised him for it. He could clearly see he wasn't up to standard so maybe he wasn't as stupid as you make him out to be. The club was making the signings, not Poch, so you can't lay that at his door.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

LOL the club apparently were making all the signings when Poch was in charge.

But when the other managers are in charge, they are the ones making all the signings.

What a load of bollox.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All signings are by the club and it's scouting/recruiting system. Poch was a coach, not a manager. He was asked his opinion about all the signings but it was the club that identified them. Same with Conte although he is probably a bit more opinionated with Levy and Co.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
I think most of the Kane leaving stuff is from Paul O Keefe on Twitter. He's very well informed on things going on at the club and he's said that Kane has absolutely no intention of signing a new deal and that Levy won't stand in his way a third time should an offer come in for him in the summer. It's either sell him for probably £60-70m or definitely lose him for nothing a year later. O Keefe has suggested Levy will never do the latter.

posted on 18/1/23

Kanes biggest issue is his sore back from carrying at least 50% of his team mates since the day Poch left.

Kane signed that 6 year contract because he could not foresee the destruction of the club by the chairman since Poch left.

Levy going from Poch to washed up Jose and on to Nuno was faaaacking scandalous.

Conte was his last throw of the dice, big name cheque book manager after turning his nose up at project manager ETH - the good times should have been rolling, money was streaming in again, the stadium fully functional and we had just secured CL football with an average squad.

What does Levy do, give Conte £100m to spend to complete the squad ETH got to spend £90m on Antony alone at United.

posted on 18/1/23

Problem is that we now need...

A complete new defence (aside from Romero)
A new goalkeeper
A new striker

And that's all without upgrading in other areas like getting a creative midfielder.

It's going to cost us another £400m to get anywhere near the CL again, assuming Kane and Lloris leave. Minimum.

Look I have been one of Kane's biggest fans, but if he wants out, he isn't going to be any use to Spurs. So may as well accept he is going, and move on.
