Penalty was a joke !
I actually enjoyed the game - thought we played really well with good energy.
Not sure what others think about bernebei ? Good energy but passing is woeful at times. Didn’t expect to find myself saying this but Taylor is actually a big miss just now.
Agreed, non pen the first one, second handball was more of a pen.
Mooy is a great player, very composed and can play a variety of positions.
Abada is my favourite player, the guy always comes up with the goods, we'll be lucky to have him another season.
Bernebei just needs games. Still better than Boli. What was Taylor like at his age - think about that?
The first VAR may have been a pen by the interpretation laws but as previous weeks it just undelines how stupid that IFAB guideline interpretation can be.
Had no idea why there was a check for a pen at the game-incident was at the other end of the park and I didn’t see anyone claim for anything. Was never a penalty for me having seen replays of it now-makes it all the more weird for ones that have been more obvious and haven’t been given.
We played well. Tempo dropped in the second half understandably. Iwata looked fairly composed, although he was never under any pressure and didn’t try anything fancy.
Potential new signing Oh was spotted in Glasgow last night, so looks like that one is done. Cho seems to still be ongoing from what I’ve read. There’s still chat that we’re looking for one more in. Hopefully, Ange is lucky with that…
got to ask why this was given and Goldsons 2 weren't or Smiths at Tynecastle?
There was no need to give that at the weekend the game could've continued and nobody would've even batted an eyelid.
That'll be the levelling up decision for us
you've got to say if we come the window with
Jura & GG out for £15m
Kobayashi, Johnston, Iwata, Oh and Cho in for £10m
it's been a cracker

Defo mate, I guess Ange is just lucky.
VAR is just a mechanism to allow referees to review incidents. It makes 0 decisions. Ultimately it's still the referee who makes the final call.
In this case 1 referee thought it necessary to bring the handball to the on pitch ref attention who then in his wisdom decided it was a penalty. I don't even know in this case if the rule needs looked at as I'm sure the rule states that if it's a second phase handball ie a shot hits someone where it then deflects on to an arm then it shouldn't be a pen. I'm sure that was clarified after we lost a pen to the Belgian side in the CL qualifiers when Davies handballed it after it hit Goldson.
Ultimately it doesn't matter what technology you bring in when referees like Clancy still have the final say.
Although interestingly I note little furore about the Stirling Uni handball vs Dundee Utd on Saturday that wasn't given as a pen. An exact replica of the Goldson situation so at least there's some evidence of consistency with that one rather than being a conspiracy against Celtic.
i find the goldson one interesting, the whole "doesn't make the body bigger" call is fair enough but he pushes it with this hands, if it smacks his massive heed then it probably lands at our players foot in the middle of the box.
good to see that everyone biting on Beales soundbite.
The manager, the players the fans can say they are not paying us any attention and worrying about their own campaign aint gonna wash now.
Both Beale and Ange are incredibly lucky to have the jobs they do.
Yeah I agree JFK, for me that should be more of a pen than some of the other ones but the rule is the rule. And in fairness it appears to be applied pretty consistently so I don't know why it was made such a big deal of.
I get that VAR is the talking point, but tbh Celtic utterly skelped Morton. It really could have been double figures if they could be ersed in the 2nd half. Celtic and Kyogo especially seem to be hitting a bit of form right now bodes well for the 2nd half of the season.
The Livi penalty against Aberdeen was less of a penalty than Goldsons and it was given, the Aberdeen boy was closer to his teammate and it was going away from goal, yet it was given

of course he is........
who is thicker however, the guys saying it or the people paying attention and biting on his comments?
it somewhat pains me to say it but Mooy was superb on Saturday....i might actually be warming to him .
Spot on regarding this transfer window Ghod Could see Iwata looks a player just on his wee cameo
had a shuffle over Oh hyeon-Ghus YouTube stuff and he looks like he has all the attributes you would want Looks alot more technical than GG , maybe a bit less of a bull type
Very decent window indeed.
I dont see what was particularly controversial about what Beale said but he knew the reaction it would get. Hasn't missed

Probably the same clever tactic he had when he said he wouldn’t talk about transfers-then went on to talk about transfers.
Or when he said he wouldn’t put a timescale on things-then said about the next 2-3 days.
Yeah-he’s coming across as very Machiavellian…

He was correct, he is very lucky. As is Beale, not only is their job a great one but thy are both in roles that see them with huge advantages over their peers.
But Ange wont be paying attention to any of it, thats not what he is like and he certainly wont bite on it and mention it in other interviews.
Cos thats not what he is about , he is only focused on celtic.
Id like to see more of it, a bit of banter and the two having a bit between them.
I understand its an Internet forum and throwing names is par for the course but he's certainly not thick. His comments were pretty normal but he knew how it would play out next. Saw him do the follow up interview last night and he's struggling to keep the snigger off his face when asked about it again. Put it this way some Celtic fans will spend more time getting upset about it when 9 points clear than he will so not sure how that's a mark of his intelligence
I see the campaign for swally at games is back again. Not sure on this one for me, could see a minority ruining it for everyone else. That said at half-time the bogs are full of wee f@nnies ramming ching up their noses so would a drink be so bad?
