Glazers In?

I have to agree Diafol. The Glazers aren’t ideal but I do think a lot of the hostility towards them has due to on pitch failures which hasn’t been all their fault.

They’ve raped the club for 18 years now, that’s long enough in my book

Problem is we’re now at a point that anyone who can afford a top football team is gonna be a cuuunt in some way or another. The problem with the Glazers is that their way of running isn't sustainable at all and you run the risk of actually being destroyed as a club. It’s that or being run as a sports washing exercise by a bunch of backward cuuunts. I’ll probably just end up not following United all together.

I think all “real” fans will agree.

The problem is, how many billionaires have a clear conscious? My guess is none, which limits the type of owner we want to see to abound zero.

The most important thing at this point is the owners clear our debt and allow the footballing minds to run the football within the laws of the game.

The Glazers are parasites.

The only objection to the Qatari’s is founded in shrouded-racism dressed up as western principles. Western arrogance that our values are more important than theirs.

I don't want the Glazers or the ME.

Trouble is top red Dave who runs the Dog n Duck hasnt got 10bn spare.

Ratcliffe I'm sure would probably make a lot more people feel comfortable but I don't think he's fully genuine. Seems to add his name to a lot with very little substance.

Rapidly falling out of love with football. Pandora's box should never have been allowed to be opened in the first place. The PL have to take some responsibility for that.

It’s called sportswashing.

I think my interest will wane as each of the big clubs gets owned by an oligarch or oil rich country.

It's not only the cuunnt thing for me though. I just don't see how anyone gets any enjoyment out of success brought via a tap to a sugar daddy. I never got it with Chelsea/City and I wouldn't with us. Honestly, it would probably completely kill my enthusiasm for the club.

The post is literally saying he doesn’t want his club to become a billionaire play thing.

I did read thought that 2 clubs competing in the same competition can't be owned by the same people and while this bid is supposedly different people to the owers of PSG, ultimately everything owned by someone in Qatar goes through the royal family so they would actually be owned by the same people.

Not sure how true this is and also aren't there 2 Red Bull teams in the CL anyway?

All clubs will eventually be billionaire playthings. It’s the inevitable result of the world we now live in.

Top flight football will never again be £5 tickets and a couple of quid for a half time beer and pie. If you want that then get yourself to the National League.

I assume this would be private businessman and not the state buying the club.

Plus even of they do own 2 clubs then we would be prioritised over PAG

Yeh, I will be gutted if we got bought by this mob. I just want owners that will run us as a self-sufficient business and not take money out/saddle us with a load of debt.

I will honestly be gutted if we end up like City.

Chelsea and City fans have to say stuff like this. They have to rewrite history because the actual truth isn't kind to them.

They don't know how it feels to follow an actual big club.

Yep, I feel exactly the same. I never really taken Chelsea & City's success seriously. I have far more respect for what Liverpool have achieved in recent years and what Arsenal are now doing.

If they do buy us I can see myself drifting away from United and spending more time watching lower league football, which I used to do more in my youth - specifically Bradford and Guiseley.

Just to be clear - although I think a Qatari purchase would drag the club into the 21st century and make us the worlds best team again - I’m against the purchase. Much as I’m against Greenwood playing for us again.

That would pretty much end things for me.

Nah, fallen out of love because the money has become ridiculous. I'd love to see a more level playing field across the board with more teams competing for the title.

I mean, you are arguing with fans that don't want this uber-rich ownership that would allow us to buy some success. Stop and think about it for a minute. Your post makes zero sense.

Yeh, we are all racists. Nothing to do with conscience or morals or not wanting to be able to just buy success without generating our own money.

Go away you absolute plum and let the adults debate.
