You could count them with brain cells but would run out half way
I was looking at some of the forums of the teams in the bottom 5 earlier today. Interestingly, none of them think we'll be in a relegation battle and they expect us to pull away. Amazing how things have turned around.
This is one we really should be looking to win. I think Bournemouth are doomed so anything other than a win at home against them would be disappointing.

You lot really aren’t that bad, and you are not even in the same league as some of the dross down there. Now your scoring goals you won’t have any issues whatsoever.
It’s 3 from 4 for me - Southampton (already down I think) Bournemouth (almost certain) Everton (can’t score, no fight, own fans hate them) and Leeds ( play well but can’t defend to save their lives)
No way West Ham should be down there, they will pull clear soon enough.
Forest could get sucked back in but there is a buzz and a feel good factor around them. The fans are right behind them and very vocal at the home games - you can see the players getting a lift from it and fighting to the last - think they will be fine, could be a brutal second season though
How very reasonable of you StrikeMug

Agree Forest have very good atmosphere at home -experienced it in cup game , could be crucial for them
I have been saying for a few months that I think Southampton, Bournemouth and Forest would go down. Haven’t changed my mind yet although Forest have got a few results to give them every chance of surviving. I think Everton have made a good short term appointment and I suspect will do enough to stay up. I think Leeds chances similarly will be down to whether they bring in a reliable manager. And after a bright start to the season palace are struggling for results and could yet go close to the drop.
As for Wolves on Saturday, all the recent form points to a home win and it will be a disappointment if not. Bournemouth are probably good enough to make it hard for us but not good enough to get a result. Hope to see Cunha and/or Sarabia on the scoresheet. And would love to see Gomes given the nod to replace Lemina
This will be the last game i see for a few weeks as I am heading out to Japan and Korea and 3pm kickoffs would be midnight there. An evening game may be possible i guess, like 7am i suppose but no idea if Japanese tv cares or shows the prem anyway.

Doesn't actually say lower in the table. Perhaps I was thinking lower numerically
Seems that Southampton were on the point of appointing Jesse Marsch as their new manager but talks broke down over the contract offer. Evidently they only offered him a six month deal with an option to extend
Looking at the league table we could climb up 3 places to 12th at the weekend if we win and the three teams above us all lose.
And that is a real possibility. Forest play Man City, Leicester play Man Utd, and Palace are away at Brentford.
What’s more a win puts us 7 points above Bournemouth, and 10 ahead of Southampton if they lose at Chelsea. And with Everton playing Leeds we will pull further ahead of at least one of them
All those nice theories go out the window though if we don’t win
Looking at the remaining fixtures, the most pessimistic points total I can see us attaining based on recent form is 41 which should keep us up.
If we maintained the points per game that we've enjoyed so far under J-Lo however, we'll hit 53 points, which would be remarkable given what came before. That would probably mean a top half finish too.
First things first though.
I think we can all agree, a good conductor makes a massive difference to the orchestra?
I'll sing along to that.
Hallelujah.
7 Man City players swarmed around the referee when he gave Arsenal a penalty last night but no yellow cards were issued
but that's OK, they play for Man City.
Ruben Dias got booked for being the third player at the weekend. So it's not because they play for Man City.
Arsenal players also swarmed the ref after Man City were a penalty and several other times. Every team does it. So far, only Lemina and Dias have been penalised though.
Personally, I think the main reason other clubs haven't been penalised is because it's a stupid rule that's difficult to enforce.

Agreed Tam. Self evidently the rule will not be applied with any consistency, we are already seeing different interpretations by the officials.
