Spurs will hold out for 5 billion. Their stadium alone is worth more than Chelsea. Chelsea still play in that ramshackle stadium that backs onto a railway line, and barely holds 40,000.

That was wrong, messed up the wording. Neither of us have been lower than the 2nd tier, and we've only spent three more years in it than Spurs have in our histories

That's kind of a theme with Arsenal's big club status actually, they've got the greatest staying power. Quite fitting that for a huge stretch of their 2nd most successful era all they could do was finish 3rd or 4th - it sums them up

The fact you have removed Liverpool is just laughable - they win European trophies and gain huge exposure for doing so - Arsenal only ever excel domestically and lot of that was in the past

Valuations are just a snapshot in time. ENIC sold their 20% stake in rangers and used that money to buy spurs. Neither club are anywhere near the values they were at that time

I've mentioned this once or twice to the Sandy like Spurs fans. Be careful declaring how small a club we supposedly were before the 21st century, cos only taking 20 years to overtake Spurs' entire trophy haul puts into perspective how ultimately good they are
