Agree with you Fridge. I think it's every bit as big a job as it was when he first joined though. He got a tune out of plenty of underperforming players but he also binned a bunch who weren't up for it. Capoue, Kaboul, Holtby, Soldado, Paulinho, Chadli, Bentaleb...

I think he'd need to do the same again with this squad. Plenty of young talent to work with, but plenty of stagnant/degrading older ones too, and I seriously don't see him managing to get the likes of Son, Dier, Davies etc suddenly performing again. They're jaded and they're not gonna suddenly start responding to a manager who demands high-pressing and energy.

Yep, I've no doubt major surgery is needed but we've now got a huge recruitment team in place thanks to what Paratici has done so as we ship out the poor players, we should be in a good position to unearth the next set of hidden gems. That's the market we should be looking at and with Poch at the helm, there's no one better than him at polishing a rough, young diamond.

The shipping out of players presumably means endless loans out until they have run down their contracts?

Can’t wait for Poch to unearth the next Ndombele and Lo Celso

Perhaps he can come back and get the best out those players

I cling onto the hope these players need an arm round the shoulder manager like Poch …who they actually thought they were signing for rather than the ego maniacs they got

I’ve always though le celso had a lot to offer but just think he likes the uk but maybe a more warm manager will get him happy here (still on loan ?)

Ndombele is a lazy waste of talent as per pogba

Ndombele and Lo Celso hardly played for Pochettino before he got sacked. In fact I'm not sure Lo Celso played for him at all. You never know, if he comes back in he might give both a second chance
