We have two strikers. One who has scored 100s of goals. One whos fresh and was our best player on saturday. (only to be subbed off at half time for no reason to play mount as a false 9).
Havertz, whenever played deeper for us (upwards of 40 games now) has also been awful in them games too.

yes it is one minute the team have not been going through a transition the next your pretty much showing all the reasons as to why it IS going through one.
Im not backing him im just saying its not really fair to judge him in these circumstances.
Like I said i believe he was a punt , taken in a time when you could afford to take one, during a transition period, then go for a bigger name once its settled down.
How can you not be in transition, new owner, new manager, new squad.
He should and likely will get this season as a free-hit. Judge him next season once he's had a chance to work out the squad. No European football will help get a cohesive team.

because this isn't a work in progress. Theyve come in and bought players supposedly ready to get into the team and make a difference now.
It may turn out to take longer than they want but they weren't going for a slow transitional process with all this spending.
When chelsea first got roman and bought all them players. Nobody said we were in transition.
We finished 2nd and then won the double the next year.

mate i dont think you know what the word transition means !!
transition just means a period of big or a lot of changes.
your team changed owners, board members, manager, and added 16 new first team players.
FFS its as clear an obvious transition period as you can get !!
its not a slight , you just seem to think it is!
Lucky we have Havertz to play 10 and then Felix to play between the lines of the 10 and the striker. Now we just need a player to play between Havertz and Felix for the ultimate in attacking transition.
I think it'd be pretty mad to sack him.
Brighton 19/20 - 15th
Brighton 20/21 - 16th (massively underperforming xG)
Brighton 21/22 - 9th
and then 4th after 6 games when he left them this season
He's got a proven history of improving a side over the course of several seasons and implementing the kind of modern style that all the best top sides play. I really don't see how you can justify sacking what was clearly a long term hire after 6 months

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The best justification in my opinion would simply be admitting the initial hire was completely incorrect.

transition just means a period of big or a lot of changes.
your team changed owners, board members, manager, and added 16 new first team players.
FFS its as clear an obvious transition period as you can get !!
its not a slight , you just seem to think it is!
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Don't think it's a slight at all.

Lucky we have Havertz to play 10 and then Felix to play between the lines of the 10 and the striker. Now we just need a player to play between Havertz and Felix for the ultimate in attacking transition.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
who is gonna make the runs beyond Havertz and Felix though ? need someone who can do the overunderlap runs into the channles whilst tracking back

It's hard to believe that the options are just revolving door or Graham Potter. In this instance I would accept that a mistake was made.
Although basically yeah. I'm fine with having managers that last a couple of seasons at most.

No, we need to choose the right manager and back him.
Worst decision in football was getting rid of the best coach in football the last 3 years.
Got a much worse squad than potter has top 4 and to 5 finals in 2 years. Ridiculous feat.
