How legit is this? I mean, I love his sense of loyalty but if this is true, he's crazy to turn that down.
I think if he was formally offered the role, he'd accept it. It's in London, they have the funds to really compete and a young squad ready to go straight away.
I'm getting nervous now. Not only will this close an avenue for us, it'll completely ruin his legacy.

Perhaps Chelsea’s interest may force Levy’s hand into bringing him home sooner than the summer.

Hard not to come to this conclusion
This journo did say Javi Garcia could be the next Leeds manager yesterday. Which seems to be growing this morning. So maybe his sources are good.
My worry is that the story could be true about Chelsea being interested but that Poch hasn't turned them down. If you're in football then you have your ear to the ground on stuff, even if it's not directly related to your club. If Poch had an agreement with Levy, Chelsea would know about it. Someone would know not to bother asking. If they've approached, it's probably because they think he's available.
I'm not overly bothered because if they're thinking of Poch, they're also ditching Potter and I'd be happy with either of those two taking over to be fair. At least one will be available.

I would think Poch will be waiting to see what happens at Spurs this summer before making a decision.
Certainly I'd expect Levy will know what Conte's intentions are before the season truly ends. I think if Conte goes it is probably going to be as much about personal issues, wanting to return to Italy, be with his family etc, after the year he has had with the loss of friends and his health, as it is about whether Spurs can invest enough to put us in a position to challenge. On this basis he'll probably already know in his heart what his decision will be, and Spurs will be succession planning already in any event
If Conte stays then the decision will be known quickly and that would leave Poch to look elsewhere. Much of the CFC talk is that they'll give Potter the rest of the season. They're no way going to get top 4 so its not as if anyone could come in and close an 11 point gap. The will need SPurs NUFC and LFc to all slip up in a big way, so there is little point in sacking him now but he will need to show he can get them playing well.....Potters difficulty is that without a clear target it will be hard for them to have anything tangible to focus on. What is their target, what makes the team hungry and full of desire, i think players need that clear target and Top 6 is hardly that.

Said all along, Pochettino will be Spurs manager again come next season.
My guess is that with Conte out of the country, the new contract still unsigned and all the personal stuff affecting his long term outlook, the deal for poch is already done. Personally, I think both Conte and Levy are looking to save face here. I suspect Conte will be back in a couple of weeks, if not sooner but just incase, levy has Poch ready to go if both parties decide it's just not worth it..... Either way I don't see any scenario at this point where Poch won't be managing Spurs next year
