Dont know if any of you are listening to the commentary on the Wolves site but Sam Ricketts sounds like that "talking" dog from That's Life

Not been able to get it working since kickoff

I often have that problem especially on the phone but seems to be working ok for me tonight.

2-0

We've been rubbish here.

Fack me, woke up literally a minute before they scored and followed on line. Sorry guys, it may have been my fault.

No satisfaction, it's all over now

Until we sort out the problems we have up front, we're going to struggle

Not seen it of course but today doesn't sound like a forward problem to me, rather a negative approach to a game against a side that doesn't deserve that amount of respect currently.

Barely got out of our own half since the opening 15 minutes. Got what we deserved.

We contained Liverpool quite well, but when you have a player like Jimenez not firing we were playing with 10 men for 80 minutes. I really don't want to see him in a Wolves shirt again.

Liverpool were poor. It was a dreadful game.

Most disappointing game of Lopegetui's reign. Really need to bounce back from this and put in a positive performance on Saturday.

With respect I think you could have put your comments about Jiminez better given what he has done for us, but yes I expect he will be on his way out at the end of the season, although I have thought he has not looked too bad recently, did not see this game

Toothless I think was how Ricketts just described our forward play, though he might well have said sausages.

Hope Cunha is back for Saturday, Podence should probably start too if he's ready to.

Disappointing performance tonight. More so than in any game under Lopetegui we were poor at retaining possession regularly giving the ball away. Still have that age old problem of having nobody in the penalty area when we did get forward. Sometimes plenty of players getting forward but nobody looking for the final pass. Sa maybe should have done better for the first and Semedo skinned for the second. At the end of the day we just didn’t play well enough against a Liverpool team that looked average at best for the most part

Not sure how many on here actually saw the game. But I for one expected this kind of game given the team selection. Costa did more in his brief appearance than Jimenez did all game. Maybe Sa should have tipped the save for the first goal round the post. A fair result in the end.

Would love to know our goals for with and without Moutinho the last couple seasons.

I see via whoscored.com that Jimenez touched the ball more than any other forward we had on the pitch today.

Semedo wasn't skinned for the second. It was 2 on 1 and Tsmikas overlapped. He was hung out to dry by Traore and had no chance when the pass was played in behind him. Unfair to blame him for that goal.

It's a typical sunny comment, he doesn't have the ability to read a room, strange really considering his career

Semedo was skinned for the second goal. He committed to go for a ball he was never going to get and they played a one two around him and were away

Big game for our strikers on Saturday. It’s the last chance for them to score and avoid going a full year since a striker last scored for us on 10th March 2022

Given you're the only person I've seen on any forum intent in blaming him (which is unusual for Semedo), I'd suggest your opinion is a fringe one. I guess we all see the game differently though. You more than others.

Express and Star - Semedo did well going forward but made an unfortunate slip leading to the second Liverpool goal

Birmingham Evening Mail - Semedo did well for 70 odd minutes before a costly slip allowed Tsimikas to get away and set up the second goal

posted on 2/3/23

So it was a slip and he wasn't skinned or over committing now?

If Traore had been supporting and not left him 2 on 1, maybe the slip wouldn't have been costly? That would require you to criticise Traore for something though, which you can never bring yourself to do.

I thought generally we defended quite well but the likes of Nunes, Sarabia and Jimenez were pretty anonymous on the night. Still problems for Lopetegui to solve

Spurs at home then Newcastle away now, two games against teams fighting for Champions League qualification. So they will be far from easy but we could do with finding a point or three

posted on 2/3/23

Lack of serious pace on the counter was a weird decision considering how much it has hurt us this season

posted on 2/3/23

Yes I would have started Traore for this game for that reason. But we are desperately lacking a goalscorer at the head of our attack. Not really had one since Raul fractured his skull in November 2020 which is the main reason we have slipped down the table
