Thing is Barcelona are the biggest club in the world and know how to bring kids though their academy. They do the hard work themselves, they don't let other clubs do it and then take them an claim them as their own.

As a young lad, about 5 or 6 years of age I'd seen United on Elton Welsby's Sunday football show and shown a modicum of interest. An Aunt decided to buy me an Easter Egg in a United mug, my father was not pleased.

The next morning he poured me a milk in the mug and proceeded to 'accidentally' drop it onto the tiled floor. I thank him now but was a tad miffed then, I was surprised though that the egg had been stolen by burglars. It wasn't til I was about seventeen he reminded me of the incident and told me he'd "kin kicked the f'in egg over the train line, dirty red piece of sh..".
