Chin boy, nobody has said you haven't! Have you got a point at all, you're spending a lot of time proving nothing except your inability to concentrate on the points in hand...

Jones is a beast of a player who will improve at United with players like Vidic and Rio around him and SAF at the helm

From what I've seen so far, it's very likely that won't happen.
I still maintain he would have been better off progressing with Blackburn then moving for 2x what he moved for at his peak.

Macca, you have every right to defend your club, not spending as much as Chelsea wasn't really part of the points I raised though. I'm not sure I called you arrogant, more those who sniped at Rovers.

As said, my main point was about Jones. He should improve at United, CL football and all that. Not sure what he's done in the last 3 months to go from zero to hero was my point.

Did I write 30m? I actually meant to write "all those £20m signings."

@ SKA - Deceased. Run over by a hedgehog.

On the young/inexperienced thing, according to Wikipedia, Jones played for Blackburn 40 times and has played for United 10 times. A few months/games seems insignificant in the overall scheme of things but in a career that's so young, it's actually pretty important. If he'd got those extra 10 games playing for Blackburn, I honestly think he might still of got the England call up.

i work in London in the week sometimes and if I travel back at the weekend, it amazes me too the amount of reds in the services.

Each to their own though.

I don;t see what that has got to do withthe topics in hand though. It's just you having a pop for no apparant reason.

Would you moan if you had Blackburn fans all over the world generating revenue for Blackburn and would you rfeer to them as plastics?

Of course not

albooney, you've yet to find fact, about 100 posts ago I was still right!

"Phil Neville and Wes Brown former United superstars and England stalwarts are now considered not good enough after giving up their red jerseys"

Factually accurate!

There is an element of truth to what you say

I just think some players end up looking betterthan they did at former clubs when they have better players around him

I wasn't too keen on Ashley Young but now he is a must in the first XI. I do not know whay but he just looks better

I didn't see alot of Jones last season but did he really look as good? You would know better than me

Beast of a player though

Hardly Zero. He was already playing for the England U21's, so his talent had already been spotted.

What he has done is put in some amazing performances for United in the last three months which has proved that he is growing as a player.

If you think he will not learn from Rio and Vidic and SAF then you are living in a dream world.

I met the lad when he was out in the US, and asked him what was different for him moving from Blackburn to OT.

Everything, he said, looking around at ten thousand United fans who were watching a short training session at FedEx Field.
