The Blind Side
Major League

I stumbled across the Blind Side and absolutely LOVED ITsuperb movie
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Great Film, not a fan of Sandra Bullock but she was great in this
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ditto, thought this was easily her best movie performance
Oh right at the start gj scholay. The blindside and moneyball were really good for american sports im not that clued up on or interested in the films were good and interesting.
Forget how many great sports movies there is out there so many classics too.
Major League, Bull Durham. Moneyball.
And I don’t like Baseball…
I hate American football with a passion yet they make so many great films about it. A strange paradox.
Any given Sunday
Pacino being a maniac
Lawrence Taylor more or less playing himself
Steamin Willie Beaman
Diaz is good in it aswell
Family guy favourite James woods plays a seedy character
Great movie
Still yet to see a Womens Beach Volleyball movie…
I think it would be a box office hit..

Not quite the same but there’s a very good mens beach volleyball movie with C Thomas Howell called Sideout
Michael Sheen is magnificent as Brian Clough in the Danned United, it's well worth a look for his performance alone.
Does Rise of the Footsoldier count?
In any true Christmas movie, some of the cultural / religious meaning of Christmas must play an instrumental role in driving the plot structure (Christmas is disrupted; Christmas must be saved) or bringing characters' internal or external conflict to resolution (through remembering the true meaning of Christmas or yearning for its magic).
So, for example, Home Alone is clearly a Christmas movie, whereas Die Hard clearly isn't. Christmas is merely a backdrop in Die Hard. Set the film at a different time of year and all you need to do is change a couple of lines of dialogue and a bit of set design.
And, quite obviously, The Big Lebowski isn't a sports movie. Shame on you, 1982.
Christmas must be saved
——
It was. John McClane risked it all to save his ex wife on Christmas Eve. A guy completely out of his comfort zone coming back to his family for Christmas and doing all he could to get back and see his children.

I concur, and 100% approve this message.
Slapshot, Eddie the Eagle, Tin Cup, Blades of Glory
'Bring it On' ft Kirsten Dunst
I watched the Gary Oldman ‘the Firm’ movie for the first time the other day. Found it on YouTube. Was shocked at how good Gary Oldman was in what was in essence a tv movie
No Mighty Ducks or Space Jam? Get in the bin.

He's not coming back to save Christmas, but hoping to save his marriage. Nothing would have to change if this was set during any other national holiday, or indeed if John McClane decided to fly to LA for a few days because he'd accrued holiday from doing a lot of overtime.

You, mentioned Home Alone though. Surely that could have happened anytime? How is that more of a Christmas movie than Die Hard?
