You missed the bit where he talks about only just hearing about it that morning and that he is still processing it:

‘The first thing we knew about this was at 6am this morning. It is dreadful. I’m just coming to terms with it all.'

And you have no idea whatsoever what his view on the getting married is. You have just made your own mind up on that.

It seems very much to me like you are twisting his initial 'statement' (made just a few hours after the story broke) to suit and completely making up the fact that he has welcomed Mason back into the home. I think you are being a bit unfair on scholay. He has clearly stated that he would not be ok with what Mason did if it was to his daughter. All he is saying is that he is absolutely fine with it happening to someone else's daughter. Cut him some slack.
