He's better, but he's not much better. He's also 6 years older and actually, both have pretty good injury records the last 2-3 seasons.

He really is much better. Osimhen doesn’t have a good fitness record.

Cos Kane fits into ETH profile of a striker Oshimen doesnt.

Definite pluses and minuses on both. Kane makes slightly more sense in terms of being a safer bet.

Kane would be homegrown, less of a gamble, plays the way ETH likes his strikers to play.

Osimhen is pretty much the opposite of what ETH goes for in a striker

We should get Ivan Toney anyway.

Look I haven’t seen much of Osimhen but from what I have seen he looks like a pacey poacher who doesn’t get involved too much in the build up.

Slightly like Haaland but without the same power.

He’s never reached 30 league games in a season and for what he would cost that’s a concern considering what he would cost.

I don’t think we are interested in him anyway. Seems to be paper talk.

I’d still take the gamble. I think he’d offer a decent middle ground between the qualities that Kane and Osimhen offer. As much as I like Kane, we won’t improve our pressing from the front too much by signing him. Having him and Rashford in the team makes life so much harder for the rest of the team off the ball.

I suppose it depends on what you're after, particularly out of a striker or winger. If a player has relied heavily on just being fast, then past 30 is a bit of a slippery slope. Decent footballers who can adapt to losing a bit of pace can easily play til mid thirties.

No one has ever looked at Kane and suggested he relied on pace, 30 would be fine.

Up until last season Kane was smart and efficient at pressing (but not exceptional at it), decent enough player to play a pressing game but you couldn’t afford two ‘Kanes’ in your team. This season he has been notably worse but there is so much wrong with the team that I don’t think you can conclude anything from it.
