He's absolutely incredible. He's the best ever of the type of midfielder he is. I see him as quite different to Gerrard but those pair together with a good dm would be something else.
He’s one of my favourite players outside of United, ever.
It’s tough as he’s amazing but isn’t really up against anyone.
Back then all teams had fantastic centre/attacking mids. World class players.
Now there’s no one to really challenge him. Enzo has been sublime since signing for chelsea but playing in that mess will never have a chance to fully shine.

You're not allowed to have favourite mam City players if you're a man utd fan apparently.
You're also not allowed to praise Kompamy's achievements at Burnley because he used to play for Man City.
According to some people on here, You're not a true man utd fan if you do this.
He's right up there. I don't think there's much between Scholes, Gerrard, Lampard and KDB, just down to preference of style and bias.
Probably the best attacking midfielder the league has seen.
Interesting that KDB is the only City player still there from when Pep arrived. Grate midfielder, definitely in the discussion for the PL's best
Probably better than scholes, lampard and Gerrard in ability.

Do non United fans ever include Scholes in the debate?
Feels like they just want some representation and chuck him in, I don't think he was on their level. Very good as though he was.
Closer to Frank but the other two easily clear imo.

Scholes was a league above Gerrard and Lampard
He’s the level KDB plays at
Fair enough, his career feels a lot further in the rear view mirror.
I remember more of his later years than I do for the others
What years were peak Scholes?
Hes not really a midfielder is he. He is given a free role and has players that actually play midfield back him up.
He's the class act in a class side.
If he's about it....you've not much chance really....makes it look effortless also.
I wonder if Mourinho still thinks he's not good enough for the PL?

He is above all three, followed closely by Scholes. In my view, he ranks with Zico and Pirlo. The only thing that might harm his legacy is his inability to perform at the international level with Belgium.
He’s at least as good as Scholes, who I’d rate as better than both Gerrard and Lampard.

It's hard to word this in a way that doesn't sound like i'm having a go... But yea, the non UTD football fans I know that properly understand the midfield absolutely rate Scholes as one of the best CM of that generation. I lived in Portugal during a lot of his career and my friends their loved the way he played.
You only have to see quotes from the likes of Xavi, Pep and Zidane to know that he was at the top of his game. A lot of English fans prefer a roy of the rovers type though.
Proper midfield debates you always see Viera and Keane disrespected. Both were miles better than Scholes. The Scholes was world class myth just keeps gathering pace
A perfect example of the inability to read the midfield (and bias) that i mentioned above ^
Why would you even try and compare Scholes to Keane/Veira? Very different types of midfielder.

Different players but I agree.
KDB comparisons with Gerrard and Lampard are easier to make due to their playing styles.
Scholes was so underrated for so long.

The OP is referring to the best midfielders in the PL era and he did not mention Keane and Viera. It's not that hard
Yesterday was a masterclass in efficiency football.
I coach a youth team and i always tell the players to play the simple pass and pick moments when you showcase your skills, the best players know how to do that.
How many times have we been in a position to play a simple pass and put another player in a good position and our players over elaborate especially Antony and Bruno.
Haaland was also special before his goal, chest down, look up, release the ball.
Tired already of Antony apologizing for the upteenth time for not playing the ball to a team mate. Rooney was also very good with efficient football.
In terms of ranking, Kdb is up there among the best ever. Will never understand how chelsea facked him and Salah

Well, for most of us, it's not hard to understand context... If the four midfielders mentioned are more creative/attacking types, you can safely assume that is what the OP is discussing.
