Stikemug, how many lines have you had this morning?

Mr know it all. Always giving it the big un. Have a day off.

After we get smashed by Utd tonight you're gonna go back to being an angry girl and calling Levy a khunt to make yourself look hard again 🤡🤣🤡 .

It's all about you though 🤣🤡🤣
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Alright Karen, I can see you are having a tough morning, you just go back to sleep dear, let the grown ups talk
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Grown up? mate it's been 5 minutes since you last called Levy a khunt or wrote an article trolling Chelsea. Very grown up of you.

You're a mess kid.

Isn't it anything to do with the way a trophy is/would be won, for any of you?

Take our most recent cup final - we snuck past Chelsea on pens, then beat Stoke and Brentford to face City in the final, in which we tried to play for a 0-0 for 90 mins. Forget the fact that fans weren't there, even if they were, I just can't see how winning that would have made anyone feel 'proud' than any of the highs we had under Poch!

Winning the 2005 FA Cup final on penalties after being battered by Man Utd for 120 minutes was absolute joy... 😂😂
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Exactly, sometimes winning when being battered makes it better
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I feel the same about our 2005 CL win

At the end of the day, football (sport) is about winning silverware.

Not meant as a dig, but I don't think it's as easy to judge when you don't win things.

It doesn't take away from the achievement of finishing 2nd etc... but if the following season you're knocked out the champions league in the groups or last 16 are you really going to be happy you finished 2nd and didn't win a trophy the season before?

Spurs fans trolling Woolwich after yday is very sad.

It's all abit West Hammy and Jamie O'Hara ish.

Lets get our own house in order before trying to pathetically troll another club 👍🏻
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Of course Spurs fans will troll Arsenal fans, its part of our DNA, and you would expect it the other way around. The clubs have been nrigjbours for for over 100 years. So you would hardly expect any Spurs fan want Arsenal to win the league, whatever Spurs have done.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Hardly neighbours. Spurs not even a London club until the 60s.

I get that. I suppose I'm coming from the viewpoint of how I feel about my club.

Arsenal fans, despite the last couple of weeks and last night, surely feel a hundred times better about the state of their club now than they did in 2020 when they had players like Auba and Ozil stinking out the place, even though they won the FA Cup?

Arsenal have had a better season than Utd but id rather a Cup and top 4 even if it is the Worst Cup u could possibly win.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Have they, then?

As that's a slight contradiction. So, assuming United get top four, having already won the Carabao Cup (let's assume they lose the FA Cup Final), are you saying you think that Utd have had a better season than Arsenal?

I suppose this is the point of my article - winning a trophy doesn't automatically guarantee that a team has had a better season than a team that doesn't, otherwise we would all categorically say that Utd have had a better season than Arsenal.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Depends on so many things - the previous season, the look of the team, the average age of the team etc.

I would argue that for Arsenal, for example, the way this season has gone (playing brilliant football, getting out of the cups nice and early allowing for a decent title challenge, blooding young players) has had a far more significant impact than if they were now 5th or 6th but had won the Carabao Cup. Just my take on it.

I’d rather try for the glory of the Premier League than worry about two trivial domestic cups (in both the top teams play their reserves in the early rounds). Football is about aiming for glory & fulfilling dreams, I’m not going to care much in 20 years about winning the FA Cup again or winning the Carabao(?) Cup - but winning the Premier League or Champions League is a lifetime memory.

I agree. It sounds ridiculous to say, in principle, but those recent FA Cup wins for Arsenal - great on paper, great days out for the fans I'm sure, but, what did they really do for the club at that point in time? They might as well not have won them, in terms of the effect that fact that they did win them had on player recruitment, finances etc. As I said previously, looking at their board on here, their fans online and just the general feel you get coming out of Arsenal right now, they are much happier and more optimistic for the future right now than after any of those recent FA Cup wins.

Not an Arsenal fan but I'd say league performance is a better gauge of how a team had performed over the season and likely a better indicator of potential for sustained challenging and successes.

I'd love it if United won the FA Cup, as I did when we won the League Cup. Enjoyed them far more than coming 2nd in the league. But there's little doubt that Arsenal are currently a better side than we are

Change of tune after years of Arsenal fans saying Spurs getting to CL final or 5 years in a row in top 4 is not does not constitute a good season

I am with people not winning a trophy means not a good season.

I haven’t changed my tune, I have always said this, if you are not in the title race or Champions League then a ‘domestic’ Cup is a nice bonus - but that’s all.
