With AFL and NRL I have 12 months of non stop sport now. Might just take December off every year and just enjoy Christmas.
Which competitions should we aim to get knocked out of early next year?
The issue is the lack of real quality depth in the squad IMO. They're not poor players but still a bit of a mish mash.
I won't lie.....I'm kind of looking forward to the summer a little. I want to go on holiday and have a break from football for a few weeks.

I wouldn't risk any of the best players in the Carabao cup next season and just see how far we get.
If we fall apart between now and June and don't make top 4 I wouldn't play any of the big boys in Europa League. The prize just isn't worth the risk and effort for me. You still need a lot of luck to win it.

It's!ot just depth, our first team is far from fixed or great. They've performed well considering, a new manager, new players, and approximately a million games. Or a lot.

Indeed. A better first XI makes a better squad.
The depth wouldnt be such an issue if they got regular fame time.
Sancho, Martial, Pellistri, Fred, Sabitzer, AWB / Dalot are better options for rotation than a lot of clubs have.
Think we've massively missed Garnacho. He's a great impact sub we badly miss.

They've all had game time except Pellistri
Fred came on today for 30 minutes to give our starter a break and bring fresh legs on, he gave the opposition the ball every single time he had it and continuously ruined possession, attacks, and gave them opportunity to counter while putting us under pressure.
That’s not a good rotation option, that’s someone that costs you points if you have an injury.
We need to replace some first team players for ones closer to title winners levels, then those first teamers replace the likes of Fred on the bench and they are sold.

Yeah that’s been a frustrating injury. He’s changed many games from the bench this season. Hopefully he’ll be back soon.

Any idea as to his return date?
Seems to have been out for ages
Not sure. I’ve read he could be available for the last few games, particularly the FA Cup final. Hopefully it’s soon as we could really do with his impact. Gonna be a slog for the rest of the season.
I gotta celebrate all summer ffs
We would be ok without the half time team talk and subs, in game management from both the players and the manager seems non existent, just nothing performances with a complete incapacity to pass a football, fatigue not exactly like they are non fed refugees tracking miles each day but it I don’t think ETH took on a fit squad as Brentford showed us early doors.
Big next season for ETH let’s hope he gets supported with what he wants and not just over priced Dutch players but this depends on the Glazers greed to extract the last penny which could go on a while.
Isn't there a danger Garnacho will be joining Argentina for the U20s tournament.

The club won’t let him go, apparently.
Look at the state of Liverpool and especially Chelsea this season after playing 63 games each last season.
United will end up with 62 games played so it really could mess you up next year if you don’t get your summer business right.
If any of your players have been overplayed there’s a decent chance their form will go off a cliff next season. Look at Mason Mount this year for example and I’m sure there are plenty at Liverpool.
There are a lot of games and from my understanding plans to add even more for sides playing in the European comps.
Would be better if international qualifications were scaled back, international friendlies binned entirely and club games kept to a more sensible level.
I think this is why I’m leaning my focus towards AFL. One game a week, no other distractions and cheap and easy to go to matches. Going to Swans/Giants tomorrow and only $30 or so for a ticket I can buy on the day

It'd be great to have him as an option at the end of the season but I do hope we don't annoy him too much as well considering there's still a contract to be signed. If we don't allow him to go I hope Ten Hag tells him just how much he's valued. He could be a difference maker for us in the last few games and Cup Final.

Shame dude. That Anzac one on Tuesday was insanely good.
You've haven't played too many games more than other teams and the world cup affected other teams too. It's being over egged and a bit of an excuse too.
