Oh he dived in for sure and got mugged off as he normally does either diving in or standing off. His decision making is atrocious

In the ten games Porro’s started in the prem, Spurs have conceded 26 goals. That’s mental.

Yeah a guy who has just joined us and is getting used to a new league is the problem.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He’s a problem. He made a poor defence even worse.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Perhaps but hes literally just joined and already playing for his third manager in three months mostly in a role hes not even accustomed to. Missing the forest for the trees if you think hes the one to blame.

We do t know how to utilise him properly - that’s the real issue. Sporting would Ugarte filling in whenever Porro went forwards, neither Skipp or PEH do that and so he ends up exposed out of position.
We bought him with zero strategy in mind, zero idea how he would integrate into the team - which sums up our transfer business, hit and faaacking hope

He isn’t a defender in the same way Trent isn’t, he is a converted winger who can cause havoc out wide if he has time and space.
That’s how Sporting used him, he didn’t do defending for them, Ugarte did, Porro was a creator and a damn fine one.
Spurs once again buying players I’ll suited for our system
Porro will come good with the right coaching and system, wouldn’t get on his back too much. Walker was the exact same at his age until Poch came and turned him into a monster WB. Not going to spend too much time slating him, but still should’ve done much better for the opening goal today, very lazy.
Yeah and that’s exactly the problem with the signing. You’ve made a bad situation in defence even worse.

Romero is the best defender we've got.
He played every minute of Argentina's 7 World Cup winning games and gathered just 2 yellow cards.
It makes a difference to a defender's performance as to who his teammates are!
Here, at Tottenham, he is playing alongside Dier and Davies. Just think about that!
With Argentina he was playing alongside Otamendi, Tagliafico, Lisandro Martines, Acuna .... several classes above Dier & Davies.
I don't blame him at all for that penalty. He had to do something, and he missed the tackle, a bit unlucky I thought.
Anyways, for those who don't like him, the odds are he won't be at WHL next season...has many better options.
