Jota also got ball first

Well, it’s possibly to kick someone with a high foot and for it to be adjudged as not a red card offence, yes.

That hasn’t changed.

When the foot is soo high, it is dangerous whether you got the ball or not.

It is almost an assault and you could Jota apologising and not wanting to celebrate the goal either.

Liverpool stole the points imo. They started well, but then combo of posts and luck kept them at bay for a long while.

I mentioned it in the live thread, that Kane was talking to Skipp and Sonny, this was relaying Mason's instruction to change tactics which then shored up the Spurs back line, after Salah's pen.

As I said it, I expected the game to be tight as I thought neither side had a solid defense and I was proven right.

What a pleasing for me is how Perisic sat Van Dyke for the first goal....Liver commentator said VD slipped yes he did, because he got done by a change of direction...

Liverpool's defense is a HOLY as Spurs's

Loved Kane's volley for the 1st goal...Nutmegging Allison

Funny to watch, Henderson going straight for the corner flag trying to waste time at Anfield

You mean he got the ball before he got the opponent's head?
You think that is all right?
You must be six years old.

He won the ball in an attempt to win possession

You’ll be wanting to ban tackles next because it “might” break someone’s leg

I haven't seen the incident yet, but definite red card for me.

Your player hit our player's head and injured him so badly as to require stitches.
Those tackles are a red card.

They really aren’t. I think you need to read up the laws of the game

Quote the law you think makes a red card tackle legal

he was only given yellow so that is a mute point.

The problem is they put Liverpool on a pedal stool, and they are trying to make Skipp an escape goat. I was worried the game would be a damp squid, but it was a decent game. Etc.

Thought it was funny Klopp saying Ryan Mason should worry about his own team instead of seeking to condemn Jota, this from a bloke who pulled a hamstring in his desperation to abuse an official

Yes, that's actually a good point. Once these officials set a precedent they are restricting their scope and decision.

True. Klopp is a pretty horrendous human being when it comes to touchline behaviour in general though. His ostrich impression I'm sure impressed Nigel Pearson but his intimidation of officials is relentless.

Martin Tyler claiming Son did a martial arts on a innocuous challenge by Son, my my that's borderline racist. Yet not a jot on Jota's Kung Fu head decapitator kick?

He then followed it up after the game by basically accusing the ref of having it in for him and his team, I honestly don’t know how he gets away with it

Big clubs get decisions, small ones don't. I read about it all the time.

my initial reaction was that it wasn't a red because we see that sort of thing all the time and it's never a red. but I think that's part of the problem really. it's really very dangerous and if we're trying to move towards being more concerned about head injuries completely banning high boots seems like a good change

This has been seriously refuted by PGMOL and I hope they ban Klopp from touchline for a year.
