Maybe ETH should have given Henderson a go or tried to bring in a new 1st choice keeper last summer but I don’t blame him for persisting with De Gea.
The alternatives are Butland and Heaton who haven’t played regular top level football in years.
If it isn’t addressed in the summer I will question ETH though.
Weghorst isn’t good enough but we did get plenty of good results with him in the team. It did go stale and it took ETH too long to drop him though.
It’s a bit of a reach to criticise him for not dropping DDG.
Agreed on Weggy though.
Weghorst is the biggest mistake. There has to be better strikers in the lower leagues we could have got hold of.

Agreed. Perhaps ETH thought that the United players around him would allow Weg to get goals (elevate him as a player) but it just hasn't happened. He's not of the calibre we need
Henderson decided to leave before Ten Hag came in and wouldn’t talk to him or the club. Don’t think that was ever an option really. Do think Butland should be given a go

Nothing Weghorst did showed him to be a goalscorer of any worth it value. No striker in the top 20 can score a score less that less than Weghorst. He's slower, dumber, least pacy player ever produced. Ten Hag in his stupidity just as assumed "he had heart!!!"
Look Weghorst being "managed" Ten Hag is his main flaw. A flaw he should have ended a looooong time ago

McT is faster than Weggy, better in the air, better on the ground, has actually scored some nice goals. Has a history of being up front.

No idea, but I was only talking until summer. A stopgap, same as McT until we get better.
Mctominay is miles better than Weghorst. It's not even a debate.
Let's be honest. McT would have offered much more of a goal threat than Weggy. We are using Weggy in a strange way though. If I was CF I would be pretty frustrated with the wide players. For the rest of the season, with Garnacho now back, I'd play Rash up front and tell him to stay there and occupy the CBs. May even be worth switching Antony to the left to see if he can get some balls across the box. He can also help Dalot/Malacia out.

He's maybe changed his mind since seeing them slabber over the new monarch?
It doesn't help that players like Fred are either fantastic or absolute facking crap.
We had a spell of games where Fred was coming on as a super sub type player, keeping the tempo high, winning it high up the pitch and keeping the ball moving. But the last couple months he's come on and made us worse.
Then you got w@nkers like martial who put in about 50% (that's being generous) effort, as if he's got some god given right to be United's leading man.
Sancho, a pathetic excuse of a professional footballer.
Antony, at least he tries but he needs to improve over the summer or he can feck off too.
Our squad is full of sh!te throughout but were it not for Rashford, we would be in Chelsea's position right now.
Someone here mentioned ETH is suffering from an egotistical coaching and that is exactly what is happening. He used Brighton's defeat as an excuse to revert to his favorite lineup starting Weghorst and Malacia. He didn't even try to correct his mistake at half time. If a manager believes players such as Weghorst, malacia and Antony are the answer to our issues, he is looking at a different issue altogether and will be foolish and a total waste of resource to trust him signing the right players.
Weggy. I would have put McT up front.

WTF
Something I've been saying for a while now, the level united improve to depends on recruitment.
I'm not sure how good ten hag is at spotting good players, and even if he was, would the club let him get them?
I don't know which category the de gea contract falls under, but if he gets one, it's not a good sign for you.
Before ETH brought in Weggy we actually had quite a fluid attack playing one central and two wide but ETH didn’t use him as a back up and stuck him straight in the team which completely unbalanced us with a non scoring slow and ponderous passenger for consecutive game after game and we haven’t recovered since.
Pre Weggy I had high hopes for ETH but I must admit the doubts have crept in now, the Anfield massacre cannot be ignored and if as seems increasingly likely we blow top four due to some incredibly inept performances he will start next season under huge pressure.
It has to be said however that players like Martial and Sancho just seem impossible to motivate for anybody, Fred bless in just shouldn’t be here, Degea just what can anybody do about mistakes like last night but it goes on season after season no matter who is in the managers chair.
With the number of goals we have scored and conceded it’s a bit of a freak we even have a chance of top four,it could hugely paper over some big cracks as this is not a champions league squad with any realistic potential.
