I'm not sure Devon knows why Bank Holidays were created

So those who aren’t fans of the royal family should’ve done volunteer charity work apparently. Like if you are a Labour voter you would volunteer on your day off at the Tory party conference

Why would those against the monarchy do what the multi billionaire King has asked his ‘subjects’ to do? Makes more sense that ardent royalists like Dev here would be doing their patriotic duty on Monday. He was probably on here all day though because Liverpool fans held a legal protest on Saturday so charity can wait

posted on 11/5/23

Also love how Dev is applying his vision of “good use of time on the BH” to everyone, anyone who says well it’s my choice and prefer to do something else be damned

The king has never shied away from voicing his own personal opinions on a whole raft of issues.

Take, for instance, his long-standing critical views on policy amendments to the current migration bill.

Won't be long before the right wingers become the ones booing loudest.

Not an RF fan, but as a collective FSG are much more destructive overlords.

I’m still interested about the reasons for the booing.

The Liverpool fans on here have given reasons that would apply to most of the country.

Perhaps they are guessing, given that none of them live there or go to games? (To my best knowledge).

Genuinely interested.

It's the usual mixture of the good and bad in human nature isn't it, a King who's also been one of the most outspoken people on climate change for the past 5 decades, even when it made him look like a total t1t back then.

There are several people on my fb feed who protested that have been jollying around protesting about every issue going while waiting to inherit their parents wealth.

There's no chance of that happening IMO. Maintaining popularity is essential for the RF and they will try to avoid that at all costs.

But I don't believe a word of it myself. They just say things in public but the reality is very different. Didn't he send some letter to some rapist apologising for how the rapist had been misreated?

In public he'd say the opposite. Every statement is just what people want to hear, nothing controversial as they are happy to just coast. They use the media to control public opinion about themselves. They attend some functions that 90% of the time are just silly and don't really need them.

What are you going on about. There's no Bank Holidays on Party Conference days.

Your issues are clear from your response, its a problem with his wealth and being "subjects" even though none of this affects your life in any way whatsoever, and in fact as King his duty is to serve the people, which is what he will do, as did the Queen before him until her death.

posted on 11/5/23

If he wanted to serve his citizens he'd forgoe the coronation cost and give that money to feeding and housing his citizens but in a typically narcissistic move he required all the trimming so he could say 'Look at meeeeeee, I'm King' when in reality we all knew this anyway.

posted on 11/5/23

If the RF are as important as some claim, then such an important role should at least be elective, not hereditary. It doesn't matter the character and ability of the person performing that role because it's passed down the family like some family heirloom.

The heir or any of them could be some idiot, closet pervert and ree tard and he's still entitled to these duties and privileges. Oh wait, that happens all the time throughout history.

If this is the case then why do they exist and why should I give a fack?

Thanks for confirming that they're pointless and have no use.

Wind your neck in and stop posting nonsense just to try and be relevant.

What do you care whether he cares about his citizens or not?

You go to watch football games which is just a plaything for rich people, so why are you complaining when other people are entertained by other rich people?

Oh look whos back.

My bad....i should have put it in the past tense. Its the reason [for the protest] I sought.

I understand the reason now and while it is peoples right to express that, people also have the ability to be respectful despite their grievances. A blanket despising of the establishment is pretty blinkered but does sum up modern life where people love to polarise opinions in to 2 extremes. I exist more in the grey areas between.

Amazing comment, from someone who thinks a reputation on a football forum matters, when they don't even have a good one.

Its ok to have an Anthem to sign to millionaires who do half a days work and kick a ball in a net for a living.

A King/Queen who spends his day in service of the Country. S<um!

Most of them work like 2 days a week on average. And remember they do all these things to remain relevant so that opinion doesn't shift to abolishing them.

Last 2 decades the walls have been closing in on them and they should probably know it's only a matter of time.

Back to your usual "having a mare" BS.

Why dont you answer my question about those Liverpool folk in Anfield and their Street Party, one of many street parties in the City.

Do you judge them in the same way you judge me? Stop running away Hoody, your reputation <cough> might suffer!
