Simon Jordan On Haaland

It makes me laugh that there’s such a pro-Haaland agenda at the minute.

Why won’t the media mention his awful away record in big games?

Anfield
Old Trafford
Bernabeau
White Hart Lane

All big away games and all big time flops from apparently the world’s best player.

Kane is far, far superior to him and it’s not even a discussion.

Haaland is in the team that has won 4 of 5 titles, has the best coach in club football, and plays with the best assist maker in world football.

Kane plays at Spurs.

It's ridiculous to suggest that Kane couldnt hit Haalands numbers in the same environment.

The team might score the same amount of goals collectively but Kane wouldn’t score as many as Haaland if he played for us.

I think most Utd fans would want to see him fail. However, most of us are also able to realise that haaland is a phenomenal goal scorer. You, on the other hand simply posted this, with your opinion as a wum. You know exactly what you are up to here.

Yes he would’ve done. I actually think Kane would have scored more.

There’s a reason why Pep tried to sign Kane before Haaland. Kane was his number 1 choice.

So I’m on the wum saying Kane is better than Haaland? And would score more goals for City than him? Does that mean that the other people on this thread who agree with me are on the wum too then??? Is Simon Jordan????

I ain’t a wum I just call it as it is.

Kane is better than Haaland.

Wouldn’t have scored any goals where haalands pace was needed. Kane has none

We will never know, but to say categorically that Kane wouldn't, is just silly given his goal record for Spurs and England.

Another myth about Haaland.

Rashford is faster than him for a start. Also for all this ‘pace’ I haven’t seen him score a single goal that’s down to how fast he is.

Pep didn’t try to sign either, it’s not his remit. We wanted Kane for the reason I said - collectively as a team either would work and our total goals scored I imagine wouldn’t be dissimilar.

Anyone that thinks the goal tallies would be the same is just wrong though as we’d set up and attack entirely differently. A more comparable goal tally for what Kane would get for us would be Aguero when he was fit, which was still brilliant.

This.

They are genuinely useless but Kane puts up them ridiculous numbers every year. Haaland wouldn’t.

Just like when Gerrard was at Liverpool.

Yeah Kane isn't really the goal machine Haaland is, although his scoring record is still incredible. He has more to his game and he would have probably made those around him contribute more with the goals. Would City have been better with Kane, who knows but I doubt City fans care because they've been excellent this season with Haaland.

I do think that Kane's season has gone a little under the radar though will how people just expect him to do this every season on top of how well Haaland has done. 26 league goals with 3 games left is impressive whoever you are, epsecially playing for this awful Spurs side.

Pep definitely has a big say in who your club signs, therefore would have wanted Kane, whose primary role is to put the ball in the net.

Because Kane has been, and remains one of Europe's best goalscorers, despite not having the teammates or coach he would have at City or another elite club.

Kane is a much better goalscorer and player than Haaland will ever be. Done it season after season in the Prem. Haaland is just having one decent season in the Prem. He needs to do it for the next six or seven seasons to be on Kane`s level.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
One decent season.
His first season in a new league and he broke the scoring record. What will he do for an encore? Probably break his own record.

I said why he would have wanted Kane. Still doesn’t change it’s not up to him to sign him, nor that he wouldn’t have personally got as many goals as Haaland.

Personally, I’m happier that we got Haaland. Not because I think we’re better with him than we would be with Kane, just that I’m enjoying watching us playing differently and the transition to attacking with a focal point at the top rather than deep.

Results wise, we’d probably have done better this season with Kane, at least the first half of it.

City don’t even play to Haalands strengths a lot of the time
----------------------------------------------------------------------

This. The thing I find scary about Haaland is the fact that he could potentially score more goals if he played for a more direct team. The amount of great runs he makes where he doesn't get the ball because of how City play is unreal.
