Just for the record and to shut WO up, the reference to me posting #2 referred to an article at the start of the season when a poster put up 4 scenarios on where we would finish. I put #2 which I think was top half and not finishing 2nd. And to pi55 him off more... "I'll be back"

posted on 25/5/23

You won't shut him up though.

Would definitely take 53 points over 41 but yes to be fair it would only lift us 3 places.

Just been reading the news about Hednesford Town, desperately sad, the owners who were to take over from the current useless toss pots have pulled out so they won't be in a position to start the new season. Absolute farce. Not going to put on here what I've heard about what's gone on but it seems the current owners plan is actually coming together as intended. Pretend to sell the club to a going concern and keep the club afloat when in fact they're going to liquidate it and sell the land off for housing.

Lost touch with what was happening at Hednesford since I moved out of the area. Very sad it’s all going pear shaped. Good set up there in terms of the stadium and supper. But clubs at that level need owners acting with the club at heart and trying to reach their potential as a decent non league club

posted on 26/5/23

Nope. Number 2 scenario was a top half finish and a push for Europe.

Don’t you ever get tired of being wrong ol bean 👍

Some embarrassing predictions here for sure!

Looks like our ole friend DejaVu was right on the money with his prediction of #3.

Cinci had a bit of a mare with his Leicester and Everton comments though

Just reading up about Hednesford. Seems like the current owners were following the route that the Bhatti brothers took with Wolves. Destroying them on the field with relegations to reduce the interest of the fans then looking to sell the assets for property development. Only thing that Saved Wolves at that point was the council putting a condition on the planning that meant the Molineux site could only be used as a sports venue. Looks like the only thing that can save Hednesford now is their council taking the same line

posted on 26/5/23

Yeah hopefully the council will help in that regard, However they have already sold off a lot of the land that the club owned for housing, its very much hemmed in now.

Well we got the striker and the attack minded midfielder that I wanted but we certainly didn't get back to troubling 7th or 8th.

posted on 26/5/23

Might be more appropriate to say we got a striker not the striker. It’s the biggest problem that hasn’t yet been solved

But the biggest burden of the first half of the season was the poor job Bruno did, and his temp replacement

posted on 26/5/23

We may have got the striker, it's just he only lasted 20 off minutes.

Ha yeah my season outlook for other teams was a disaster and cost me winning the KoP this year. Think I am like sixth but am the only one without a point from the season predictions

This the lad that Bristol City are asking £20m plus for. Alex Scott

Very highly rated. Just not sure another young lad with potential is what we need though at least he has already proved it in the champo.

We've been linked with him since January. He has looked decent t whenever I've seen him. There are quite a few other Premier League teams sniffing round him too though.

Seems a similar style of player to Nunes the way he carries the ball through midfield.

Arsenal will evidently be without Saka, Zinchenko, Saliba, Trossard and Martinelli on Sunday

Former Wolves striker Niall Ennis was a regular in the Plymouth team that secured promotion to the championship. But his contract with them expired at the end of the season and he has signed on a free transfer for Blackburn Rovers

Noticing in Italy’s Serie A that teams can use 5 subs, same as in England but they are able to name 14 to sit on the bench. Would need some bigger benches in the Premier League if we followed suit

Watched the play off final yesterday that saw Luton best Coventry on penalties. Former Wolves coach Rob Edwards their manager. Just sad their ground isn’t good enough for the championship let alone the premier league. Main interest in watching the gane was to see the Coventry striker Gyokeres who will inevitably now be sold to a premier league club. Scored a lot of goals for them and got plenty of assists including for their goal yesterday. Looks a really good all round centre forward to me with good control and hold up play. Certainly a player we should consider bringing in
